SHOCK - Parents Of New Suspect Linked To Terrorist Organization Part Of SYRIZA

The parents of one of two more suspects, Phoebus Harrisis, who is suspected of being part of the terrorist group Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire, are apparently very active members of the SYRIZA party. So active in fact that his mother (Ourania Poulou) is part of SYRIZA's parliamentary project team (and in charge of the network design and documentation of its central committee) and even works at the Greek parliament! Father George Harisis, on the other, is the right hand man of well known unionist Thanassis Mpalasopoulous. Also, both his parents were candidates in the last municipal elections in the area of Paiania-Glyka Nera (an area north of Athens).

Authorities published full details of the two suspects following an investigation by Greece's counter terrorism unit.

The two suspects are:
A) Harisis- Poulo Phoebus - of George and Ourania, who was born on 22.03.1990 in Athens
B) Dalio Anargyros - of Athanasios and Eugenia, who was born on 05.08.1991 in Athens.

Aside from being members of the terrorist organization, Harisis as well as Dalios are accused of aiding a robbery at the Agricultural Bank in Philotas Florina on November 28, 2012, and from what reports claim they also participated in the bank heist in Kozani several weeks ago where four other members of the same terrorist organization were arrested.

According to an announcement by ELAS (Greek police) their photos are being made public following a decision by the Court of Appeals Prosecutor of Athens. Two arrest warrants have been issued for their immediate arrest by a Special magistrate, on charges of participating in a terrorist organisation, as well as aiding an armed robbery.

VIDEOS Of Violent Attack By Anarchists At Skouries Gold Mine In Halkidiki

credit iefimerida

More than 36 people have been detained by the police in connection to the arson attack on the offices of Hellas Gold at the Skouries gold mine in Halkidiki, northern Greece, early on Sunday morning. According to reports, about 50 anarchists were involved in the raid, which led to a number of vehicles and small buildings (security) being torched. One of the culprits, a 54-year-old local resident, (and rumored to be a member of the SYRIZA party) was reported to also have been arrested but was released later. Police believe that there is evidence linking him to the attack.

The testimonies from two guards who were on duty during the raid is also shocking. Apparently the anarchists tied them up and then doused with flammable liquid, threatening to burn them alive. The assailants were also carrying guns, which they used to take out some security cameras. Authorites have apparently collected evidence from the scene of the attack and are expecting the results of forensic tests. At the same time they have gathered droplets of blood, a ski mask, cigarette butts, a torch and a surgical mask.

The Skouries mining project has been strongly opposed by some locals, environmental groups and political parties over fears of the lasting damage it could do to the local environment. Hellenic Gold, which is 95-percent owned by Canadian Eldorado Gold, insists that the mine is legal and has all the necessary environmental permits.

Public Order Minister Nikos Dendias who travelled to Halkidiki, shortly after police announced that a local 54-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of being moral instigator of the attack, was quoted as saying that the Greek state has a duty to safeguard the foreign investments taking place in the country. “Investments are the only way we can confront the huge problem of unemployment.”

Also, a report on SKAI television said on Monday night that a website that regularly publishes articles for the anarchist movement just released a story publishing the names, and even addresses, of the security guards at the gold mine.

Conspiracy Or Truth - Nemo Was HAARP Created To Favor ‘The Elite’

We now have evidence that Blizzicane Nemo was another nasty HAARP created storm attack upon the New England area. Why TPTB continue to focus destruction upon this area remains a mystery as Nemo joins Hurricane Sandy and the Sandy Hook school shooting as devastating events to take place within the past several months within that vicinity.

One look at the most recent map from HAARPStatus.com reveals magnitued frequency levels in the 10 range in the New England area where the storm took place.

Magnitude 6 to 9 - Significant change is expected. Anything over M7 is rare and special attention must be directed when readings go seven and higher. Severe storms are associated with this reading, which if a short spike can be a nearby event and a long duration and slow build being a large scale change.

Magnitude 10 - Associated with tornado outbreaks. This also can be strong hurricanes and blizzards.

HAARP frequency magnitude maps went from red to magenta as Winter Storm Nemo headed for its East Coast bull’s eye. As of this date, forecasters predict the blizzard most likely will be the worst ever in that region, or at least in the top five of devastating winter storms.

These HAARP maps are chillingly similar to those preceding Hurricane Sandy in the same region in October 2012. To view those maps, go to the 2012 archives in this section of the website.

HAARP frequency maps for February 5th and 7th

NOTE: HAARP essentially is a massive electromagnetic tool for manipulating weather by changing the Earth’s ionosphere. Originally it was developed as a bloodless weapon of war. Today, many people believe it is being used to help break national economies so enemies, perhaps Globalists, can more easily take over or control a nation.

We now have more undisputed evidence that storms like Nemo are created by HAARP to favor the ‘elite’. We certainly aren’t in Kansas anymore, Dorothy…

Occupied Greek Factory Begins Production Under Workers' Control

The following is a statement from supporters of the Vio.Me workers’ union, which was translated on the excellent From The Greek Streets blog:

Occupy, Resist, Produce!
“We see this as the only future for workers' struggles.”
Makis Anagnostou, Vio.Me workers’ union spokesman

Tuesday, February 12, 2013 is the official first day of production under workers control in the factory of Viomichaniki Metalleutiki (Vio.Me) in Thessaloniki, Greece. This means production organized without bosses and hierarchy, and instead planned with directly democratic assemblies of the workers. The workers assemblies have declared an end to unequal division of resources, and will have equal and fair remuneration, decided collectively. The factory produces building materials, and they have declared that they plan to move towards a production of these goods that is not harmful for the environment, and in a way that is not toxic or damaging.
“With unemployment climbing to 30% – sick and tired of big words, promises and more taxes – not having been paid since May 2011, the workers of Vio.Me, by decision of the general assembly of the union declare their determination not to fall prey to a condition of perpetual unemployment, but instead to take the factory in their own hands to operate themselves. It is now time for worker’s control of Vio.Me.!” (Statement of the Open Solidarity Initiative, written together with the workers of Vio.Me – full statement: Viome.org)
Workers in Vio.Me stopped being paid in May of 2011, and subsequently the owners and managers abandoned the factory. After a series of assemblies the workers decided that together they would run the factory. Since then, they have occupied and defended the factory and the machinery needed for production. They have continued to reach out to other workers and communities throughout Greece, receiving tremendous support. The solidarity and support of all of these groups, communities and individuals, has made an important contribution towards the survival of the workers and their families thus far.

This experience of worker’s occupation to workers recovery and control is not new – either historically or currently. Since 2001 there are close to 300 workplaces that are run democratically by workers in Argentina, ranging from health clinics and newspapers and schools, to metal factories, print shops and a hotel. The experience there has shown that workers together cannot only run their own workplace, but can do it better. The example of Argentina has spread throughout the Americas, and now to Europe and the US. In Chicago, workers of New World Windows have begun production under workers control after years of struggles with former owners and bosses. And now in Greece, workers are again showing that the way forward – out of unemployment – refusing the crisis – is workers control and directly democratic self-management.
“We urge all workers, the unemployed and all those who are affected by the crisis to stand by the workers of Vio.Me and support them in their effort to put in practice the belief that workers can make it without bosses! To participate in the struggle and organize their own fights within their work places, with directly democratic procedures and without bureaucrats.” (Union’s website: biom-metal.blogspot.gr)
As with all factory recuperations, the question of initial financing is central. While solidarity has been able to maintain the lives of the workers of Vio.Me and their families, the capital needed to continue production is huge. The workers’ union has a business plan that is sustainable, but will take time to get off the ground. These first months are crucial. Financial help can make all the difference. Any contribution is helpful.
Direct financial support can be sent to the Vio.Me workers’ union in Thessaloniki through the International Solidarity Website: viome.org

BARRON MAG - All Hope And Change Roads Lead To Greece

Who says Barron's covers are only good for timing contrarian market inflection points to the millisecond? In this specific case, we learn that all hope and change roads (soon to be de-potholed following another trillion in road renewal stimulus, aka ARRA 2.0, spent shortly and paying a minimum wage of $9.00 to the depotholers) lead to, where else, Athens, Greece. zerohedge

OECD Says Pace of Reform Has Accelerated in Greece

Structural reforms offer governments a powerful tool to boost economic growth, create jobs and bring about a strong and balanced economic recovery, according to the OECD’s latest Going for Growth report. This year΄s report assesses and compares progress that countries have made on structural reforms since 2011 and takes a fresh look at reform priorities to revive growth sustainably and boost employment.

According to the report, it shows that the pace of reform has accelerated where it is most needed – in the European countries hardest hit by sovereign debt duress, including Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal and Spain. The report draws attention to the more moderate pace of reform in other euro area countries, notably those with current account surpluses, like Germany or the Netherlands. The highest-income OECD countries, like Norway, Switzerland and the United States, and key emerging-market economies are also shown to have made more limited progress on key reforms.

Sructural reforms can boost long-term growth and welfare but also underpin confidence and take some of the pressure off monetary and fiscal policies to buttress the recovery," said OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría. “The road to a strong recovery remains fraught with challenges but measures taken in Europe and the United States have reduced the likelihood of a worst-case scenario." Mr. Gurría said. “We have reached a point where bold and concerted action to get the right mix of macro and structural policies can make an upside scenario a real possibility.” capital

Lesser Known Contributions from Ancient Greeks

Ancient Greece
Ancient Greece (credit: freeasinfreedom)
The profound and fundamental influence that Greek culture has had in shaping the modern, Western democracy is much more profound that some people know. Most people are familiar with the sciences, the Olympics, the arts and philosophers such as Plato and Socrates, but did you know that ancient Greeks even invented journalism? They were also the first community to invent stripping! Or the that they were the first society that operated a museum? And believe it or not.. (well you probably will believe this one) ancient Greeks were the first to discover the octopus! From gambling, to shunning, to pointless conversation, to deceptive technical presentations, to detention, to the first public outburst, or the first office policy, to stalking and even to the invention of actually inventing, ancient Greeks did it all! Here is a list of some of the less known, yet still influential great thinkers of Greece and their contributions to the Western world! (Editor... Talk about an advanced civilization! Incredible!)

STRANGE - Russian Divers Find No Trace of Meteorite in Urals Lake

credit RIA Novosti
(RIA Novosti) – Divers have completed examining Lake Chebarkul in the Chelyabinsk Region where a meteorite fragment had reportedly fallen but found no trace of the celestial body, a spokesperson for the Russian Emergencies Ministry said on Saturday.

“The ministry’s divers have completed examining the lake’s area but discovered no traces of the meteorite,” Irina Rossius said.

A flaming meteorite streaked across the sky and slammed into central Russia on Friday with a massive boom that blew out windows and damaged thousands of buildings around the city of Chelyabinsk, injuring more than 1,000 people in the area. According to the Health Ministry, 51 were hospitalized.

Officials are trying to determine where the fragments have landed. None have been recovered as of Saturday morning. Chelyabinsk Region Governor Mikhail Yurevich said earlier that one of the fragments had fallen into Lake Chebarkul.

Regional police attributed that information to local fishermen.

Background radiation levels reportedly remain unchanged. This was confirmed both by emergencies officials, and by the national nuclear agency, concerned because the area has a fair number of nuclear facilities.

PROVOCATION - FYROManian Fascist Poses Next To Greek Evzone!

A FYROManian fascist actually had the audacity to stand next to a Presidential guard recently in a play to provoke Greek sentiment. This pseudo levendom@laka was photographed next to a proud Evzone at the Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier in Athens. Reports claim that the photo was then uploaded and even published on Facebook, on a new page which was obviously promoting FYROM fascism -or slamming the Greeks- but luckily both the group and the photos came down very quickly.
