The profound and fundamental influence that Greek culture has had in shaping the modern, Western democracy is much more profound that some people know. Most people are familiar with the sciences, the Olympics, the arts and philosophers such as Plato and Socrates, but did you know that ancient Greeks even invented journalism? They were also the first community to invent stripping! Or the that they were the first society that operated a museum? And believe it or not.. (well you probably will believe this one) ancient Greeks were the first to discover the octopus! From gambling, to shunning, to pointless conversation, to deceptive technical presentations, to detention, to the first public outburst, or the first office policy, to stalking and even to the invention of actually inventing, ancient Greeks did it all! Here is a list of some of the less known, yet still influential great thinkers of Greece and their contributions to the Western world! (Editor... Talk about an advanced civilization! Incredible!)
