National Defence Minister Panos Kammenos told reporters that this year's much-awaited military parade to mark Greek Independence Day on March 25th will take place without railings and there are not going to be elevated platforms for prominent officials.
He said the parade will include two National Guard battalions from the border region of Evros and the Dodecanese Islands. He also noted that flights of Armed Forces aircraft and helicopters will be conducted (and will not burden the budget).
The Minister of Defence also revealed that he is going to visit the United States between March 27-April 3 in order to represent the Greek government at the Independence Day celebrations organized by the Greek Diaspora.
