Armed Robbery In Corinth Results In Death of 82-Year Old Man

A manhunt was launched in Pyrgos, Corinth prefecture to track down four armed robbers who fatally injured an 82-year-old man during a robbery at the octogenarian's home in the early morning hours on Monday. Police reports said that the four men stormed into the home of the man, his 92-year-old wife and the couple's 61-year-old daughter, hit the elderly man with the hilt of a shotgun they found in the house, fatally wounding him, and also lightly injuring his wife. The thieves then looted the home of jewelry and fled in the family's car. The victim succumbed to his injuries a short while later, while his wife was hospitalised in a local hospital.
