SHOCK:Zante Woman Sets Herself Ablaze To Not Become Burden To Her Children!

The economic crisis has struck hard at our elderly. With the slash in pensions, and total degrading of the public health sector, many Greek pensioners are finding it hard to make ends meet and most are relying on their children for help. Such is the story that was just posted on prionokordela.gr. It claims that an elderly woman on the island of Zakynthos, or Zante, died on Friday after setting herself ablaze. According to police reports, the 81 year-old woman sat quietly on a chair in her garden and after bathing in flammable liquid set herself ablaze. The unfortunate woman was found later by her son, who quickly alerted authorities. Following her suicide, a note was found stating that she decided to end her life because she could not afford to "burden" her children any longer. (No comment)
