Cyprus Investigative Commission Hearings To Be Public

An investigative commission, appointed to look into possible political, civil or criminal responsibilities in the banking sector and the economy announced on Thursday that its hearings are going to be public. An official press release says the commission will be based at the Filoxenia conference centre, in Nicosia.

Hearings for the purpose of obtaining evidence will be public unless the commission decides otherwise for specific reasons, the press release adds, inviting at the same time anybody who has evidence or information on the matters pertaining to its competences in the context of its mandate to notify the commission.
