TIME MACHINE - Greece In 1963

Today's TIME MACHINE takes a step back to 1963. It was the year when the former king Constantine and his bride Anna Maria got engaged, when Grigoris Lambrakis got killed, when AEK celebrated its first post-World War II championship game, when the former Queen Frederica attended the funeral of US President John F. Kennedy, when the Nobel for Literature is awarded to George Seferis marking the first such distinction by a Greek, and the Cyprus crisis begins with a firefight in Nicosia. It was a year when the the trendy song was "HAli Gali" and when house parties were considered cool. It was also a year when the legendary rock band the Beatles sang a song from Mikis Theodorakis, and the late actors Aliki Vougiouklaki, Thanassis Vegos, Dimitris Papamichayl were winning the hearts of theater goers.

It was also a year when the legendary Bob Hope Narrated a documentary on humanitarian activities In various countries around the world including Greece, and the year when refugees from the Albanian nation stepped on Greek soil for the very first time.

Earlier in the year Jacqueline Kennedy had tea and sandwiches with the late King Paul and Queen Frederika of Greece at their mountain retreat in Tatoi, which is 20 miles north of Athens.Jackie then joined Aristotle Onassis on his yacht Christina with several other friends and went sailing, while in  Marathona, the 11th World Scout Jamboree took place.

Parties were considered cool, and necking was "in", and those whose hearts got broken would often hum the classic "Kathe limani kai kaimos".

• December 21: The Cyprus crisis of 1963-1964 begins with a firefight in Nicosia that leaves one Greek Cypriot policeman and two Turkish Cypriot civilians dead.
• December 27: Student rallies take place in Athens and Thessaloniki in favor of a union between Greece and Cyprus.

Soccer Team Owner Extradited To Athens After Fleeing Greece

Soccer team owner and businessman Makis Psomiadis, who is currently in a prison in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) is apparently going to be handed over to Greek authorities today by Interpol officials and following this will stand trial in Athens.

Psomiadis was caught in Skopje, capital of FYROM, in November 2011 a few weeks after fleeing Greece. One month earlier, a magistrate had charged Psomiadis with being at the center of a large match-fixing ring.

The owner of Kavala soccer team denies any connection to the match-fixing ring, which is alleged to have made millions of euros by betting on the outcome of soccer games which various officials and players colluded to fix.

Cyprus Denounces Turkey's Provocative Decisions

Asked to comment on Turkey's provocative decision to issue licenses for petroleum operations in sea areas that include blocks from Cyprus' Exclusive Economic Zone, Cyprus government spokesman Stephanos Stephanou underlined in a statement that was issued on Sunday that Turkey's decision is a continuation of its actions that violate the international law, in particular the Law of the Sea. "The Government of Cyprus denounces Turkey's illegalities and provocations and takes all necessary steps to defend the Republic's sovereign rights" he points out.

Int'l and European Community Must React To Turkish Provocations

Cyprus House President Yiannakis Omirou said that the international and the European community must react to the official announcement in the official gazette of Turkey that areas spanning from Rhodes to the south west of Cyprus are given out for hydrocarbons studies and drilling. Maps published in the official gazette show that the permits stretch as far as he Greek island of Rhodes as well as plots 1, 4, 5, 6 and 7 delineated by the Republic of Cyprus in the eastern Mediterranean.

Replying to a question, Omirou said that it is obvious that Turkey is trying to create a climate of tension and destabilization in the region, in the framework of a plan it has which includes provocations after the assumption of the EU rotating Presidency by the Republic of Cyprus, on July 1st, 2012, such as efforts for the recognition of the Turkish Cypriot puppet regime, the opening of the fenced off town of Famagusta under Turkish administration and efforts to promote direct trade between Cyprus' occupied areas and EU member states.

Piraeus' very own Olympiakos soccer team won its 25th Greek Cup and first since 2009 after it defeated the Antromitos soccer team by 2-1 in an electrifying match that was held at the Olympic Stadium in Maroussi on Saturday night. Olympiakos dominated the first half and nearly opened the scoring in the seventh, but Antromitos goalkeeper Charles Itandje made the first of his many superb saves by diving into Djebbour's feet. The match went into overtime on substitute David Fuster's header in the 119th minute.

Iron Mike Zambidis returned to the ring on Saturday night and challenged the international Syrian-Austrian kick boxer champion, Fadi Merza in what some call an electrifying game, nonetheless "Iron Mike Zambidis" reclaimed the title of W.I.P.U. "King of the Ring" super-welterweight kickboxing oriental rules world champion.

Fadi Merza is rated as one of the top 10 of athletes of the world in his category but he was no challenge for our "Iron Mike". The next fight is a rematch with Chahid Oulad El Hadj at the K-1 MAX Final 16 in Madrid, Spain on May 27.

The Turkish maps For Oil Exploration In Greece and Cyprus Exposed!

In a follow-up to our story on Saturday entitled "With The Threat of War - Turkey Issues Permits For Gas Exploration Near Rhodes And Kastelorizo" we feature the maps that are presently creating a diplomatic crisis between Greece and Turkey following Ankara's decision to issue permits for oil and gas exploration in Greek and Cypriot territorial waters. The maps were published on the newsbomb news site and as you can see include the areas around Rhodes as well as Kastelorizo. It should be reminded that on Friday Ankara formally announced that it had issued five licenses on behalf of the Societe Anonyme Turkey, Turkish Petroleum (TRAO), to explore these areas for possible hydrocarbons. The publication of these maps is an attempt by Turkey to "legitimize" these oil explorations and basically "rob" us of our very wealth!

As you will see in the maps, the areas that Turkey has decided to begin exploration for oil and natural gas reserves are marked with the numbers "1", "4", "5", "6", "7." These are plots have already been designated by the Republic of Cyprus in the eastern Mediterranean, the same holds true for the areas south of Kastelorizo and Rhodes. Furthermore, the Turkish maps are related to the marine areas off of Adana, Antalya, Antioch and Mugla, which as you will see clearly are located outside of Turkish territorial waters.

With The Threat of War - Turkey Issues Permits For Gas Exploration Near Rhodes And Kastelorizo

Faithful to its tactics, Turkey decided to issue permits for oil and gas exploration south of the islands of Rhodes and Kastelorizo​​. In a normal democracy, or any other civilized country, this would be a cause for war. Nonetheless with a government that bows to Ankara the news has yet to even be brodcasted in the mainstream media. Aside from protothema, defencenet and a few blogs, very few people know that Turkey is actually planning to begin oil and gas exploration in Greek territorial waters!

The decision was taken on March 16, but it was only published on Friday in the Turkish government gazette. Of course there was a response by Greek Foreign Ministry spokesman Grigoris Delavekouras who said that the determination of Turkey to move ahead with this venture and for licensing petroleum activities, in areas south of Rhodes and Kastelorizo​​, is contrary to the rules that are dictated in the Law Of The Sea, but aside from the statement we have yet to see any real movement from the Greek side.

Delavekouras underlined that Ankara cannot "undermine sovereign rights and powers of Greece, based on international law" and we agree, but Greece cannot sit back either and allow Turkey to slap it silly any longer either!

The spokesman said that the Greek Foreign ministry will take all necessary steps to safeguard and defend the sovereign rights of Greece, but we are not convinced.

We speculate that this is all pre-arranged. And the reason we believe this is because they might use this "sudden new crisis" as a reason to force the two larger political parties to unite. Main opposition New Democracy leader Antonis Samaras has repeatedly said that he will not join forces with the socialists again, but the socialist PASOK party of Evangelos Venizelos insists that Samaras is doing the wrong thing and PASOK needs to be in the government.

Now we are just speculating... but we know that the PASOK party has had extremely friendly relations with Turkey, as we also know that their former leader George Papandreou had at some point conducted secret diplomacy with the Turks, as well as almost gave them half the Aegean. So obviously this makes us believe that they might use this in order to force Samaras into a new cooperation government!

PASOK has to be eliminated... it cannot ever be allowed to rule this country again. But we are afraid that the "shady" system that supports this party is difficult to crumble and we are afraid that they would even going as far as placing our nation in an even deeper crisis just to maintain their role in power.

And if the threat of war sounds a little too far fetched for you, then think again. The mobility of the Turkish army over the last few days has been escalating all the way from the Evros border and down to Cyprus. Indeed it has scheduled military exercises (EFES), which are apparently set to begin a few days after the Greek elections, and we read that it is experiencing increased tension in its southern boarder with Syria... but is this why there has been so much mobilization, or is something else planned?

Certainly we are not defense analysts and cannot responsibly say yes or no, but after reading various reports today from key analysts we can only assume that something is definitely brewing... and it does not look positive.

One such report was published on defencenet claiming that the Greek Armed Forces are getting prepared to experience a "very heated" summer because Turkey always staged its attacks when our country was experiencing political turmoil. Some examples include Cyprus in 1974, 1996 on the islet of Imia, or the crisis in 2009 on the little islands of Stroggyli and Ro.

Also, we don't think the surprise visit by Defense Minister Dimitirs Avramopoulos to the islands of Farmakonisi, Agathonisi and the "Anthsti (QOL) Palaiokastriti" camp on the island of Samos was conducted by chance either. We believe that Greece wanted to send a message to Ankara since Turkey directly disputes the territorial waters around these islands and claims that they belong to her!

Indeed the presence of the Defense Minister on the islands was a smart move, but remarkably Turkey answered with 11 violations of IDP;s and breached the Greek FIR 8 times west of Lesbos and Chios! And Turkey did not stop there. On Saturday the Turkish Sabah newspaper said in an article that the permits it issued for oil exploration near Rhodes and Kastelorizo ​was its "answer" to Greece!

We want to see what our government will do now... so far, all we hear is silence.

Who And What Is The "Committee of 300"?

On hellasfrappe we have featured many stories about the so called "Committee of 300", most of which speak about the banking Cabal. After receiving a letter from one of our readers asking who was behind this committee we decided to finally present the committee to you all in full detail. There is no need to use "they" or "the enemy" except as shorthand. We know who "they", the enemy, is. The Committee of 300 with its "aristocracy", its ownership of the US Federal Reserve banking system, insurance companies, giant corporations, foundations, communications networks, presided over by a hierarchy of conspirators-this is the enemy. Secret societies exist by deception.

The Committee of 300 is a product of the British East India Company's Council of 300. The East India Company was chartered by the British royal family in 1600. It made vast fortunes in the opium drug trade with China and became the largest company on earth in its time. Today, through many powerful alliances, the Committee of 300 rules the world and is the driving force behind the criminal agenda to create a "New World Order", under a "Totalitarian Global Government".

Each is a hierarchy with an inner circle at the top, who deceives those below with lies, such as claiming a noble agenda; thus, duping them into following a web of compartmentalized complicity. The inner circle of the Committee of 300 is the Order of the Garter, headed by Queen Elizabeth Windsor II. (It is interesting to note that the Windsor's changed their name from the Germanic Saxe-Coburg-Gotha during WWI, because of anti-German sentiment.)

The enemy is clearly identifiable as the Committee of 300 and its front organizations, such as the Royal Institute for International Affairs (Chatham House), the Club of Rome, NATO, UN, the Black Nobility, the Tavistock Institute, CFR and all its affiliated organizations, the think tanks and research institutions controlled by Stanford and the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations and last, but certainly not least, the military establishment.

The Committee of 300 is the ultimate secret society made up of an untouchable ruling class, which includes the Queen of the United Kingdom (Elizabeth II), the Queen of the Netherlands, the Queen of Denmark and the royal families of Europe. These aristocrats decided at the death of Queen Victoria, the matriarch of the Venetian Black Guelphs that,

in order to gain world-wide control, it would be necessary for its aristocratic members to "go into business" with the non-aristocratic but extremely powerful leaders of corporate business on a global scale, and so the doors to ultimate power were opened to what the Queen of England likes to refer to as "the commoners".

Through their illicit banking cartel, they own the stock of the Federal Reserve, which is a private for profit corporation that violates US Constitution and is a root of the problem.

Its members, under the careful guidance and direction of the British Crown, and subsequently, its foreign policy executive arm, the Royal Institute for International Affairs (RIIA), now known as Chatham House, located in England (across St. James's Square from the Astors), ran the United States from top to bottom through their secret upper-level, parallel government, which is tightly meshed with the Committee of 300, the ultimate secret society. That secret, all-powerful government is now more in control of the United States than ever before.

Ten Top Aims:

• Depopulation of large cities according to the trial run carried out by the Pol Pot regime in Cambodia. (It is interesting to note that Pol Pot's genocidal plans were drawn up here in the United States by one of the Club of Rome's research foundations. It is also interesting that the Committee is presently seeking to reinstate the Pol Pot butchers in Cambodia.)

• Suppression of all scientific development except for those deemed beneficial by the Committee. Especially targeted is nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. Particularly hated are the fusion experiments presently being scorned and ridiculed by the Committee and its jackals of the press. Development of the fusion torch would blow the Committee's conception of "limited natural resources" right out of the window. A fusion torch properly used could create unlimited untapped natural resources from the most ordinary substances. Fusion torch uses are legion and would benefit mankind in a manner which is as yet not even remotely comprehended by the public.

• Cause by means of limited wars in the advanced countries, and by means of starvation and diseases in Third World countries, the death of 3 billion people by the year 2000, people they call "useless eaters." The Committee of 300 commissioned Cyrus Vance to write a paper on this subject of how best to bring about such genocide. The paper was produced under the title the "Global 2000 Report" and was accepted and approved for action by President Carter, for and on behalf of the U.S. Government, and accepted by Edwin Muskie, then Secretary of State. Under the terms of the Global 2000 Report, the population of the United States is to be reduced by 100 million by the year 2050.

• To weaken the moral fiber of the nation and to demoralize workers in the labor class by creating mass unemployment. As jobs dwindle due to the post industrial zero growth policies introduced by the Club of Rome, demoralized and discouraged workers will resort to alcohol and drugs. The youth of the land will be encouraged by means of rock music and drugs to rebel against the status quo, thus undermining and eventually destroying the family unit. In this regard The Committee of 300 commissioned Tavistock Institute to prepare a blueprint as to how this could be achieved. Tavistock directed Stanford Research to undertake the work under the direction of Professor Willis Harmon. This work later became known as "The Aquarian Conspiracy."

Supermarkets Carrefour-Marinopoulos Under Investigation For Dodging VAT

 Following an extensive investigation the Greek financial crimes squad SDOE is now preparing to charge the Greece-based Carrefour-Marinopoulos group of dodging VAT payments in Greece via a fake invoice scam with businesses based in another EU country. In an announcement the supermarket group denied the charges noting that all its dealings with its suppliers were in full compliance with the laws.

According to the findings of the SDOE investigation, the company Orbicom issued fake invoices to Carrefour-Marinopoulos SA supermarket chain in 2007 and 2008, for the supply of goods that never actually took place. The supermarket termed the transactions with Orbicom as  "an unremarkable and quantitatively insignificant commercial collaboration" that was in full compliance with the laws.

Tax authorities have confirmed the findings of the SDOE report and are now working in cooperation with Carrefour-Marinopoulos SA on the case. SDOE said Orbicom is no longer in operation and has already slapped fines and penalties amounting to 300 million euro on the company for tax evasion.

Athens Airport Now Offering Summer Season Discounts For Airlines

Athens International Airport (AIA) announced new incentives for airline companies for the duration of the summer season to boost tourist flow in Greece. The new initiatives that correspond to discounts of up to 20 pct are apparently going to be in effect until October, or the end of the tourism season. They will replace a winter season special economic incentive for low-cost tickets, available by all airlines, that expires on April 30.

Israel-Cyprus-Greece - Undersea Power Cable Venture

PPC Quantum Energy S.A., a subsidiary of public-run Public Power Corp. S.A., formally announced the launch of the construction of a 2,000 MW undersea electricity cable to link up the electricity grids of Israel, Cyprus and Greece. The company has notified the Greek Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE) and CERA, the corresponding authority in Cyprus, over the "EuroAsia Interconnector" project. In a joint letter to the company, both authorities underlined that the implementation of such an ambitious project will decisively contribute to ensure the safety of power supply for the entire region of SE Europe and the eastern Mediterranean. They also suggested a meeting to take place between the company and the parties involved for the formal presentation of the project.

Demarche to German Foreign ministry by Greek ambassador

The Greek ambassador in Berlin Dimitrios Rallis called for the German Foreign ministry's protection when the owner of the real estate attempted to transfer the entrance and emblem of the embassy without the approval of the Greek diplomatic mission. Following a demarche by Rallis, the German Foreign ministry's Formality Department, reacting immediately, imposed the stoppage of work until the issue was examined. On the part of the Greek embassy, it is considered that the unilateral action by the owner of the real estate constitutes a violation of the Vienna Treaty on diplomatic relations of states. (AMNA)

SPECIAL REPORT - Rothchilds Behind Greece's Refusal To Receive Putin During Easter

Who or what force intervened to make sure that Vladimir Putin would not visit Greece during holy Orthodox Easter? Why is the government of interim premier Lucas Papademos responsible? Some may recall that just before Orthodox Easter, there were reports that the Russian president was going to retreat to Mount Athos to spend the Easter holiday, but the trip never occurred because it was reported that the Greek government literally forbid him from doing so claiming that Greece was not ready to receive him because the country would be on hold on account of the holy holiday. Unfortunately we found out through Epikaira that it was not the government itself that rushed to obstruct Putin from stepping foot on Greek soil, but rather a company that belongs to the Rothchilds family!

The article, which was written by Dimitris Konstantakopoulos claims that German and Russian fund energy officials were left speechless when they received no response from the Greek state on a proposal they had submitted concerning the privatization of Greece's energy transmission grid. Instead a letter was delivered to them from the Rothchilds and Sons Company, that was undated, did not contain a proper reference number, etc, and which more or less rejected their offer for no apparent reason!

According to Epikaira, which has over the past two years has shocked us with its investigative reports, the Rothchilds Company together with UBS have been acting together as advisers to the Greek government on matters that deal with the privatisation of state assets!

Shocking one would say, considering what we know about the Rothchilds. This is probably why the same German and Russian officials rushed to appeal this at a Berlin Court, the initiative of which was mobilized by EU representative in Athens, Horst Raichenmpach.

Before all this happened, the US Deputy Secretary of Foreign Affairs had made a rush trip to Athens and held a tet-a-tet with the head of Greece's Privatization Fund, Mr. Mitropoulos. The message was perfectly clear: No more playing around with the Russians and Greece must never allow them to get their hands on anything that concerns the Greek energy sector. "You will give all your assets to Israel and the Greek companies that are cooperating with Israel". 

This sounded an alarm in Moscow, and the former Russian Minister for Energy Giousoupof made an unscheduled trip to Athens to speak with Mitropoulos. Little did he know that the head of Greece's Privatization fund was already in Israel.

Imagine how shocked the Russians were to discover that following Israel, Mitropoulos traveled to Moscow where he suddenly... disappeared.

The report claims that ofiicials at the Kremlin began looking for him, and then officials from Gazprom did the same and they could not locate his whereabouts. They even summoned the Greek Ambassador to Russia's Foreign Ministry in order to ask him why Mitropoulos was avoiding coming into contact with the Russian authorities!

While this "energy game" was going on, another thriller was developing in Athens. A close associate informed interim premier Lucas Papademos that Putin wanted to make a private visit to the Holy Mountain in order to celebrate the Easter holidays, and Athens replied that he could but under two conditions. Putin had to first meet with Papademos in Thessaloniki in a secret tet-a-tet meeting, and then avoid stepping foot at the Vatopedi Monastery.

Yes the same monetary that was in the spotlight several months ago for jailing Monk Ephraim.

This was probably insulting... and too suspicious for Russian diplomats to understand so they did not follow up on their request. Nonetheless the Greek government totally ridiculed itself, as well as our country, because they created a diplomatic mess!

But the story does not end there....

Anyone who comes into contact with Russia in this country is suddenly put in jail. Monk Ephraim was jailed after visiting Russia last year where he raised funds for Greece's soup kitchens, while Akis Tsochatzopoulos was also jailed for purchasing Russian and German defense systems.

Obviously... there were kickbacks...  We know that... But Akis is just the tip of the iceberg in what looks like a HUGE energy war between the West and the East... with Greece right smack in the middle.

Christie's Auctions Off Ancient Greek Wreath

Many ancient Greek and Byzantine golden jewels began being sold to the best buyer on Thursday at Christie’s Auction House in London. On the first day of this "smelly" auction a Greek myrtle wreath dated from the Hellenistic Period was apparently sold for  over £181,000. The seller is unknown, as is the buyer.

The wreath, which is dated in the Hellenistic period (circa 3rd-2nd century B.C.), is composed of four hinged gold bands which are rounded on the exterior and flat on the interior. Each one of these are decorated separately with long spear-shaped leaves with a central midrib, and adorned with fruit on delicate wire stems. They contain detailed filigree calyx, while the terminals are composed of beaded and twisted wire bands. It has a row of tongues with twisted wire borders, three acanthus leaves with serrated edges and two laurel leaves with beaded borders that have modern loops and an S-clasp closure.

Editor's Note - These items are priceless and no auction house in the world can place a price tag on items that are dated over 2,500 years. The price is ludicrous if one considers the work, and the uniqueness of this piece. These items belong to the Greek state and not some rich "wanna-be" who wants to enrich his or her collection. George Papandreou Says He Is Sorry For Saying "Money Exists"

Friends... we have said it many times, to understand George you must get into the mind of George... and seeing that this is medically and scientifically very difficult to do then just bare with us when we say that good old George at least tries to be understood. Unfortunately for him, he keeps on sticking his foot into his mouth, but nonetheless the chap tries. Today he did just that. He decided to explain to Greek citizens why he used the phrase "money exists" in his last election campaign but at the same time the man who plunged our economy into oblivion totally defended his former cabinet's decisions which led us to the open embrace of the Troika. Now correct us if we are wrong... but when you say "I am sorry" this means that you feel bad about something you did right? So why say you are sorry George and then defend your policies? Quick... help! A sedative please!

Commenting on the elections, he said that PASOK is the only serious choice if we want to avoid jeopardizing the country's presence in the euro and not waste the great sacrifices made so far by Greek citizens". The former leader of the PASOK party and ex-premier George Papandreou told the "Peloponnisos" newspaper on Thursday in an interview that the day after the May 6 elections Greece needs a stable government, "based on the broadest possible coalition of stability and progress, that can continue the effort to save the country".

"We paid, and will keep on paying the errors of past decades. I could not prevent these decisions. Greece needed to avoid a collapse. And this is the responsibility of all political forces without exception, whether they governed or not", he added.

Asked to comment on his controversial phrase "money exists", the former prime minister turned the questions around not wanting to obviously pin himself to the corner by saying that "I heard Samaras saying recently that "Greece is a rich country that was put under a heavy debt. What is the fortune of our country: it’s natural wealth and above all the talent of its people." I thank him for repeating what I have been saying for years. This is what I meant when I said money exists'. I never meant a mandate for benefits".

Asked about the opinions expressed for his referral to a Special Court that will investigate if there was wrongdoings in the manner we entered the Memorandum, Papandreou said that many have tried to finish off his family in special courts but the truth, according to him, reveals the schemers and this has been proven throughout Greece's political history.

"Intimidation and threats by specific interests or extreme voices toward the Papandreou family is a familiar phenomenon. So I will neither deal nor be afraid of such a possibility. I do not fear the truth; it’s others that need to so", he said.

He defended his government's decisions saying that "it’s better that Greeks are angry about what they are going through, than to have lived the ultimate destruction that comes with a bankruptcy. And we (PASOK) overturned this. We knew that it would be costly".

18 Bln. Euros To Four Banks On Friday

The ministerial meeting on Friday will bring an interim decision on the recapitalization of banks. It will give 18 billion euros in the four major banks (National Bank, Piraeus Bank, Alpha, Eurobank), with the decision on the amount that the shareholders will have to pay being transferred for September, after the final report of Black Rock. According to protothema.gr this move was deemed necessary in order to strengthen the banks, which announced historical losses, and to give a message of stability to the public in view of the elections. An additional amount of 7 billion euros is on hold for the TT Hellenic Postbank and the Agricultural Bank but will be disbursed after the elections.

US Outlaws All Protests Ahead Of Historic Banking Collapse

Has the Obama administration begun instituting what can only be described as one of the most brutal assaults of human rights and freedoms? Well according to a new report it has, after it effectively banned all protests against the US government under penalty of the offender being sentenced to 10 years in the American Gulag.

The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation is a federal ministry, responsible for general financial policy and for general management in the field of finance of the Russian Federation, and the American Gulag is the name given to the US prison system that holds an unprecedented 2.3 million human beings of whom “…more than 100,000 work in federal and state prison industry programs. This doesn't mean the usual cooking, cleaning and peeling potatoes, but work that produces products for sale -- about $2.4 billion dollars annually and has its own trade shows. UNICOR, the trade name of the government-owned Federal Prison Industries”, creating what is, in fact, the largest slavery system established in modern times by a Western nation.

The specific law signed by Obama, on March 8, referred to in a Russian report has raised serious concern among Moscow human rights officials is H.R. 347 that passed both houses of the US Congress (Senate and House of Representatives) and was not reported on by any American mainstream media organ being, instead, first reported on by the Russia Today News Service in their 29 February report titled “Goodbye, First Amendment: ‘Trespass Bill’ will make protest illegal.”

One of the few American writers commenting on this frightening new law, Jeanine Molloff, recently wrote in the Huffington Post,

 “… this bill, better known to those in the DC beltway as the 'Trespass Bill' -- potentially makes peaceable protest anywhere in the U.S. a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.” HUFFINGTON POST

Molloff further added in her article: 

“President Obama has claimed the right to declare anyone a 'terrorist' or 'terrorist sympathizer' based on nothing more than presidential opinion, and order their assassination. No evidence is required -- at least that the public can see. We are told to blissfully 'trust' our public officials even when they are unworthy of such trust. Now our right to protest, to be disruptive -- has been criminalized as a federal felony.” HUFFINGTON POST

Important to note are that Molloff’s fears of the ever growing Obama Regime police state are, if anything, understated, and as we can read, in part, read as reported by the WSW News Service on Wednesday:

“It is hard to conceive of a more profound constitutional violation than the torture of a US citizen on US soil,” wrote lawyers for Jose Padilla in a petition filed Monday with the US Supreme Court. A lawsuit brought by Padilla, who was illegally “disappeared,” imprisoned and tortured by the US government for four years, was thrown out by lower courts on the grounds that the courts have no authority to subject the wartime actions of the executive branch to “judicial scrutiny.”
Padilla’s treatment constituted a test case for the incommunicado detention and torture of US citizens by the military without any judicial process. The Padilla case, as much as any other to date, illustrates the disintegration of democracy in the US and the erection of the legal scaffolding of a police state.
According to the precedent set by the Padilla case, federal authorities and the military may unilaterally abduct, imprison and torture a US citizen, in clear violation of the Bill of Rights, without anyone ever being held accountable. If this can be done to one individual, there is nothing in principle preventing the government from doing it to hundreds or thousands or millions of individuals.” WORLD SOCIALIST WEB SITE

To what those Americans daring to violate the new H.R. 347 law signed by Obama will be facing, the WSW News Service further detailed and as we can, again, in part, read:

“Padilla’s torture featured the trademark sensory deprivation, sleep prevention, and sadistic round-the-clock abuse associated with Guantanamo, CIA “black sites,” and other torture camps operated by the US government. For ten months, Padilla’s mother was not even informed whether or not he was alive. Padilla’s Supreme Court petition includes a description of his treatment:
“His only human interaction was with interrogators or with guards delivering food through a slot in the door or standing watch when he was allowed to shower. The windows of Mr. Padilla’s cell were blackened. He was alternately subjected to prolonged periods of constant light and complete darkness. He was unable to fulfill his religious obligation to pray five times a day. Removal from his cell entailed additional sensory deprivation, with blackout goggles and sound blocking earphones. All outside information—papers, radio, television—was prohibited, and his Koran was confiscated.
“Mr. Padilla was denied a mattress, blanket, sheet, and pillow, left with only a steel slab upon which to sleep. His efforts at rest were hindered by deliberate banging, glaring artificial light, noxious odors, and extreme temperature variations. Interrogators injected Mr. Padilla with substances represented to be truth serums, shackled him for hours in excruciating “stress” positions, threatened to transfer him to a foreign country or Guantanamo where, he was told, he would be subjected to far worse treatment, and even threatened to kill him.”

Important to note is that even though the US Supreme Court has been asked to rule on Padilla’s case they have not agreed to hear it, meaning, that if they don’t, the horrific precedents set in this case will, in fact, become the “law of the land” allowing any American citizen to be jailed and tortured at will by their government without either charges being filed or any way to defend themselves in Court.

American attorney Glenn Greenwald, the former Constitutional and civil rights litigator and author of three New York Times best selling books, in his most recent column holds little hope for the US Supreme Court allowing the Padilla case to be heard and notes the complicity of the US legal system in helping both the Bush and Obama regimes to establish a totalitarian police state, and as we can, in part, read:

“One of the most amazing statistics of the last decade: not a single War on Terror victim — not one, whether foreign or American — has been permitted to proceed in an American court in an effort to obtain compensation for illegal treatment by the U.S. Government; instead, American courts have unanimously dismissed those cases at the outset, without reaching their substance.
Even when everyone knows and admits that the U.S. Government abducted a totally innocent person and shipped him off to Syria to be tortured, as is true for Arar, American federal judges shut the courthouse door in his face, accepting the claims of the Bush and Obama DOJs that to allow the victim to obtain justice for what was done to him would be to risk the disclosure of vital “state secrets.” They accepted this Kafkaesque secrecy claim even after the Government of Canada published to the world a comprehensive report detailing what happened to Arar.”  SALON

[Note: Greenwald’s reference is to Maher Arar, a Canadian citizen who was abducted and tortured by the US government for no reason whatsoever who has since received an official apology from his nations Prime Minister and was awarded US $9 million in compensation by Canada.]

To the reason(s) behind this unprecedented crackdown on the freedoms of the American people, this Finance Ministry report says, lies in the fears of the Obama Regime to coming historic collapse of the entire global banking system and the associated upheavals and chaos it will cause to the elite ruling classes of the Western world.

Turkish Lobby In US Rallies In Favor Of FYROM - Sends Letter To Obama

The Turkish lobby in the US sent a letter to President Barack Obama in support to FYROM's accession to NATO. In its letter the lobby states that its in the US;s interests to "consider the interests of the Euro-Atlantic community with a clear indication of US support for FYROM's accession to NATO at the forthcoming Summit of the Alliance in Chicago" . The letter was signed by the heads of the associations of Americans of Turkish origin and the Turkish Coalition of America. The disclosure of the letter was from the united Slavic FYROM community, with which Turkey has very friendly ties with. The Turkish associations in the United States number approximately 800,000.

Disagreement Over Detention Center For Illegal Immigrants

Will the government finally open the first detention center for illegal migrants in Amygdaleza, (north of Athens)? No one knows. The decision is apparently hanging on a thread as a result of a disagreement between the Minister of Transport and and the Minister of Citizen's Protection (Makis Voridis and Mihalis Chryssohoidis, respectively).

On Wednesday Voridis said that the containers, in which the first 1,000 illegal migrants will be housed, are under his jurisdiction and not the citizen's protection ministry, stressing that they are built within the framework of earthquake protection planning. He added that his Deputy Minister Yannis Magriotis was aware of the issue, adding that the citizen's protection ministry was allowed to use the containers for the sum of six million euros as it is made clear in a letter addressed by Magriotis to the citizen protection minister.

Voridis, who stands as a candidate in the district where Amygdaleza is located (Attica prefecture), noted that Magriotis and Citizen's Protection Minister Mihalis Chryssohoidis (both PASOK ministers) "went behind his back" on the matter in consultation with infrastructures general secretary Yannis Economidis, in order to ensure "election gains". He appeared determined not to allow the containers to be used and proceed with their removal, clarifying that the sum of 173,000 euros has been earmarked for this purpose.

Samaras Unveils ND's Platform That Is Set To Change Greece's Social Structure From A To Z

The leader of the main opposition New Democracy (ND) Antonis Samaras on Thursday unveiled his party's platform on society, the institutions and citizens' security calling for change of the country's model of governance. Speaking at the Zappeion press center, Samaras said ND's target after the upcoming elections on May 6 is to change the models of both the economy and governance.

"We need to sign an agreement with the people on what we must change. Greece is a country, not a place, and Greeks are a people, not a population. Change can only come about with a clear mandate from the people. The messages for ND are very positive," he said.

The changes he spoke of propose for a revision of the Constitution, as well as the law on ministerial accountability. Also they address the incompatibility of ministerial and MP posts (meaning that one person cannot claim both posts), as well as the formation of a smaller ministerial Cabinet that would gradually be reduced to only ten ministers and an audit on the 'source of wealth' of statements from individuals who have served in government posts from 1974 onwards.

On security, he reiterated his commitment to clamp down on illegal immigration, so as "to take back our cities" as he said, while he pledged efficient policing and enhancement of the citizens' security. Finally he said that it was time to "take the hoods off" the forces that cause this type of violence.

Yesterday, and after meeting with a plethora of people from the arts, Samaras also promised to bring a national policy for culture. Speaking at the Mihalis Cacoyannis Foundation building, the ND leader presented a proposal that is set to unify the Education, Culture and Sports Ministry into one entity and referred to the need for a large cultural park in the area surrounding the National Archaeological Museum.

SPECIAL REPORT - Is Russia Afraid of Fraud For May 6 Elections in Greece?

In a move that raises many questions about the validity of Greece's political system, Russian officials apparently want to send a team of observers to Greece to monitor the upcoming May 6 national elections. What are they afraid of? Is there a fear of electoral fraud? Do they know something that we don't? Is this connected to reports that claim that the PASOK run Ministry of Interior has made massive nationalizations of illegal immigrants?

According to reports, Russian officials sent a request to the Greek Foreign Ministry stating that they want to send a team of Russian observers to Greece to see that "wrong doings" are not made in the final election results. And the obvious question is does Moscow know something that we are not aware of here in Greece? Are certain groups planning on tampering with the May 6 election results?

Russia's position on this, according to what was stated via its embassy in Athens, is that it really does not mean anything specific by this request, and that they usually send observers in various countries around the world when elections are held, and Greece is not an exception. The Embassy also revealed that Russia had sent observers to Greece during the 2010 municipal elections so this was very customary. Analyzing the response, the military news site defencenet said that there is a lot being said behind Russia's diplomatic response.

Greek-Russian relations are at an all time low, and have been placed on the back burner since PASOK and George Papandreou came into power in 2009. Besides... when a Greek MP such as PASOK's Petros Efthymiou dares to challenge the validity of the results of the Russian presidential elections, then it would be foolish for him and for anyone in his party to believe that there would be no retaliation by Moscow in response to an MP who dared to challenge its sovereignty.

The Russian request which was issued by the "Center for Monitoring Democratic Processes Quorum", part of the Eurasian Union, asks that its observers monitor the elections locally and it is perfectly legal. Under the principle of reciprocity the Greek government is obligated to accept this request.

Following the news, defencenet contacted one of its sources in Moscow and asked if they suspected that electoral fraud was going to be committed. The source apparently told the military news site that they did not believe that the election results would be tampered with but nonetheless want to know "first hand" how national elections are conducted in Greece. "These elections are critical to Greece", the source said.

We agree. These are critical elections. And we are already reading massive amounts of information on the blog sphere about possible election fraud being committed. In fact the announcement from Russia only confirms our suspicion. and is already making us question the validity of the upcoming elections. One of the reasons for this is because the government of Lucas Papademos did not appoint temporary ministers to the Ministries of Interior and Order to see monitor the election process as Greece has done in the past during other elections. The Ministry of Interior is responsible for organizing the elections and monitoring them until the election results are processed.

But how can this election be fair when Minister of Interior Tassos Giannitsis, (part of the PASOK party) issued Greek citizenship to countless Albanian nationals only a few days ago? (According to an Albanian newspaper)

In a separate report on prionokordela we read an article concerning these sudden nationalizations. The article titled "PASOK importon vota nga Shqiperia" (PASOK introduces Votes from Albania" refers to the citizenship of countless Albanians from Northern Epirus by Greece's Minister of the Interior during the period April 2 - 20!

Most of the residents in this area of Albania are Greek nationals, however, the newspaper also praised the "generosity" of Greece's Interior Ministry which it says benefitted many nationals in its country from various cities across Albania. At the same time it added that these other people across Albania are not part of a minority group and are not Christian Orthodox!

The newspaper also says that it believed there was two reasons behind this sudden move by Athens. One has to do with a law that was passed by the Papandreou government allowing illegal immigrants to be granted citizenship quickly without having to become residents at all and the other concerts the upcoming parliamentary elections.

"According to reports we learned that this is a move made ​​by the Minister of Interior of Greece Anastasios Giannitsis, who is from PASOK, to gain more votes", said the closing comments in the newspaper report.

In our opinion all they are doing is playing with fire. The people will not tolerate this a second time. We  know what they did during the 2000 national elections where hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants were baptized Greek citizens in exchange for a vote, the results of which kept them in power by a narrow margin. We advise them to think twice about this move, because we are afraid that the fury of the people (once this is found out) will lead to grave repercussions.

Training of Russian Naval Staff Wraps Up In Greece

The Boarding and Command Teams of the Russian ship “VICE ADMIRAL KULAKOV” are wrapping up their training today at the NATO Maritime Interdiction Operational Training Center (NMIOTC). The decision for this training, which began on Monday April 23, 2012, was made during the 17th meeting of NATO-RUSSIA council within the context of the cooperation program for the year 2012.

Greece Joins NATO Schriever Wargame 2012

Seven NATO countries, including Greece, are presently participating for the first time in an exercise that focuses on issues of Space Cyber Warfare in the US. More exactly, Greece, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Turkey are currently taking part in Schriever Wargame 2012 International Games, which began on April 20.

The Space Innovation and Development Center is apparently conducting the war game at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., on behalf of US Air Force Space Command, Colorado Springs, Colo.

A press release from US Air Force Space Command said that the Schriever Wargame aims to explore critical space issues and investigate the integration activities of multiple agencies associated with space systems and services. At the same time, the Schriever Wargame is going to include international partners from Australia, Canada and the UK.

In particular it focuses on:

• In consideration optimize space applications to support NATO expeditionary operations
• The evaluation of operational integration of cyber-infrastructure in the space.
• The expansion of the experience is on cyberwarfare and space between the countries of the Alliance.

Archaeologists of the Third Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities recently discovered an underground aqueduct in a rural area in Megara, which is said to have been constructed in the 6th century BC. The excavation formed the initial part of the main ancient water supply system and was reported to have been designed by ancient Greek hydraulic engineer Eupalinos who is from this area.

The aqueduct, was unearthed in the area known as Orkos and is comprised of a network of shafts, cisterns and conduits that took advantage of the ground's natural downward slant ending up in the city's central water reservoir built in the 5th century BC, known as Theagenes' Spring or Fountain.

The Fountain House, built by Eupalinos in the first half of the 5th century BC (circa 500 BC), probably stands in the same place where a century earlier (6th century BC) the tyrant Theagenes had constructed a smaller fountain house, and thus is known as Theagenes' Fountain (Spring).

The front side of the building was occupied by a portico with five Doric columns, and at the back of this was a narrow cistern for the drawing up of water. Two more large cisterns, separated by a parapet, were used for the collection of water. The roof was supported by 35 octagonal columns made of poros stone, while the walls were built of large limestone blocks in the isodomic system. (AMNA)

The Russian giant Gazprom ... Now Eyes Greek Soccer Teams

The global energy giant Gazprom is reportedly showing a great deal of interest in Greece's sports  industry  According to an article in SportDay, the energy giant, which is already a  sponsor of teams such as Chelsea and Serbia's Red Star, and which is ready to sign a commercial cooperation agreement with Germany's Bayern, is now now looking into investing in several Greek soccer teams.

Gazprom, which has already been active in Greece since the early 90s, is planning to gain a large chunk of Hellenic Petroleum which is currently in the process of being privatized.

In 2009, the company purchased 51 percent of the state electrical company and then began sponsoring its Red Star team thus revolutionizing the soccer industry in the Balkans.

In 2005 Gazprom invested in Venezuela natural gas and oil exploration and then through its state oil company PDVSA began sponsoring the Deportivo Tahir.

Finally, it is rumored that the company is planning a similar move in Cyprus.

The move might prove to be a life saver to the Greek soccer industry which is not enjoying the hay days of 2004 when the national team won the European Championship but is unfortunately suffering just like every other industry in this country which is a result of a deep recession. Besides, Germany has already done this by sponsoring teams such as Schalke and Bayern.

Gov't Pulls The Plug on 200,000 Fraudsters

The Greek government miracoulasly stopped handing out various benefits, including pensions, to 200,000 people who lied to get their monthly cheques or were in fact dead, a Greek Labour Ministry official said on Wednesday. A report on capital.gr said that the government discovered the fraud after beginning basic data cross checks and means-testing, under pressure from its international lenders to cut its deficits and then terminated payments to families that continued to receive the pensions of their dead seniors. It also stopped benefits to wealthy recipients who had posed as poor to become eligible.

Earthquake Rattles Nafpaktos

 
A couple of earthquakes rattled the area of Nafpaktos on Wednesday a little after noon time scaring  residents who are now afraid of the aftershocks. The quake which registered 4.5 earthquake on the Richter scale occurred at 13.35, 14 km east of Nafpaktos. The epicenter of the earthquake is estimated at 5 km. Note that at 13.48 there was a second quake with the same epicenter and focal depth, but this time the intensity was registered at 2.8 on the Richter scale.

Greek Men Leaders In "Male Organ Extension" Surgery

Now They Want To Abolish Letters In The Greek Alphabet - Kissinger Is Smiling

As Henry Kissinger said first we strike at their language, then their religion and then their history. Guess what folks, Cypriot MP Marios Matsakis submitted a proposal to the Cyprus Minister of Education Andreas Demetriou calling for the "simplification" of the Greek language. The same proposal was also sent to Greek MPs.

Demetriou's proposal calls for the setting up of a linguistics committee that will look into the "simplification" and the "modernization" of the Greek language.

In his letter, the Cypriot MP says that we should:

• remove the letters 'η' and 'υ' and replaced by the letter ι'.
• abolish the letter 'ω' and replaced by the letter 'o'.
• delete the following letter combinations and replaced as follows: αι'---> 'ε', 'ει'--->'ι', 'οι--->ι', 'υι'--->ι',
• 'αυ'--->'αβ', 'ευ'--->'εβ'
• end the use of 'γγ' and replaced by the 'γκ'.
• repeal of the final letter 'ς' and replaced by the letter 'σ'

As a result of these changes, says the MP, the Greek alphabet will only have 21 letters (α, β, γ, δ, ε, ζ, θ, ι, κ, λ, μ, ν ,ξ , ο ,π, ρ, σ, τ, φ, χ, ψ) and ('ου').

Matsakis argues that the simplification of Greek writing is necessary in the context of a unitary beam voltage of languages ​​in the European Union. Moreover, such a change would make the Greek script simpler and more manageable.

Study Confirms The Existence Of The Elusive G-Spot

For centuries, women have been reporting engorgement of the upper, anterior part of the vagina during the stage of sexual excitement, despite the fact the structure of this phenomenon had not been anatomically determined.

A new study published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine documents that this elusive structure does exist anatomically.

Adam Ostrzenski, M.D., Ph.D., of the Institute of Gynecology in St. Petersburg, FL, conducted a stratum-by-stratum anterior vaginal wall dissection on an 83-year-old cadaver. The dissection established the presence of the G-spot, a well-delineated sac structure located on the dorsal (back) perineal membrane, 16.5 mm from the upper part of the urethral meatus, creating a 35 degree angle with the lateral (side) border of the urethra.

Having 3 distinct regions, the G-spot emerged with dimensions of length (L) of 8.1 mm x width (W) 3.6 mm to 1.5 mm x height (H) 0.4 mm. Upon removal of the entire structure with the adjacent margin tissues, the G-spot stretched from 8.1 to 33 mm.

"This study confirmed the anatomic existence of the G-spot, which may lead to a better understanding and improvement of female sexual function," Ostrzenski concludes.

Irwin Goldstein, editor-in-chief of The Journal of Sexual Medicine believes that research in women's sexual health issues is important. "This case study in a single cadaver adds to the growing body of literature regarding women's sexual anatomy and physiology."
