Farmer unions from all over Greece gathered in Athens on Tuesday at Vathi Square before marching to Parliament in protest to the government's austerity measures. Although they ended their roadblocks last week (which had been in effect for well over a month), the farmers are once again demanding cheaper fuel and tax breaks, among other concessions. Representatives from the Greek Communist Party, the Independent Greeks party and SYRIZA are also taking part. Traffic problems in central Athens are expected.
