A 22-year-old student at an OAED-run nursing school in Renti attacked three of her classmates with a knife during class, early on Thursday afternoon, Greek reports said. The police was called out and promptly arrested her, while recovering two knives from the scene. The three victims of the attack – two Albanian nationals and one Greek student, aged 20 to 21 – were rushed to the Attiko Hospital.
Witnesses suggest that the assailant had been a victim of bullying and in her deposition, the assailant apparently maintains that she had been picked on for her appearance.
The three victims denied bullying the 22-year-old, but authorities are discovering that many witnesses are claiming otherwise, with some reports even noting that the assailant was being picked on for a long period of time now.
Other reports say that while the young student does not suffer from any psychological problems, there are signs that she could be aggressive. Apparently the assailant was involved in another violent act in 2014 and received psychological support.
So far authorities have not concluded as to what triggered the attack but they are conducting a thorough investigation.
