A huge increase in tourist arrivals is expected this summer, according to a revised study that was conducted by the tourist enterprise association (SETE). The study claims that at least 19 million tourists are set to visit Greece in 2014, as opposed to a previous estimate that claimed that no more than 18.5 million tourists would arrive.
The increase is partly due to the increase of flights to Greece from various foreign airlines. Specifically, 51% of flights to Greece are regularly scheduled flights and 49% are said to be chartered flights.
