Russians To Help Indonesia Find Missing Air Asia Airbus A320-200

Russia's EMERCOM may send rescuers to the alleged crash site of Air Asia Airbus A320-200 to search for the debris of the airplane, an official representative for the department, Alexander Drobyshevsky said.
     "Having learned about the crash of the passenger jetliner above the Java Sea, I would like to assure you that the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Russia is ready to provide immediate assistance to the Indonesian side in the search for the missing aircraft," Vladimir Puchkov, the head of the Russian EMERCOM wrote in a telegram to the head of the search and rescue agency of Indonesia, RIA Novosti reports.
Russia is ready to provide "state-of-the-art aircraft and rescue technology, including amphibious aircraft Be-200, equipped with advanced search equipment, thermal imagers and locating equipment."
