One of the victims of the vicious attack against three Golden Dawn members several weeks ago, by a self-proclaimed leftist revolutionary terrorist organization, may have resulted in the deaths of two GD members, Giorgos Fountoulis and Manolis Kapelonis, but the third victim Alexander Gerontas, is apparently in full recovery even though he is still in intensive care.
Gerontas, a 29 year old father of a small child, fought long and hard to stay alive. He has undergone multiple surgeries. His will to survive has allowed him to recovery slowly and according to Golden Dawn's American website he has even begun speaking recently.
According to the site, Alexader struggled to speak at first, but when he did he said that people should not praise him for his bravery, while he sent a message to GD leader Nikos Michaloliakos underlining that he believes in the justice system, that he is well and that sooner or later "the truth will shine".
Despite the traumatic experience, and being on the brink of death, the bullets had no effect on Alexander's ideologies.
