The western world already celebrated Easter, but the Orthodox Church will be celebrating the same holiday more than a month later, on May 5th. So why doesn’t the Catholic and the Orthodox Churches celebrate Easter on the same date?
Normally, Easter falls on the first Sunday after the Vernal (spring) equinox, which is on March 21. If March 21 is a Sunday, Easter is celebrated on the Sunday after that. Piece of cake, right? Well, things are a wee bit more complicated than that.
One of the main reasons for this, is that the Catholics were quick to adopt the Gregorian calendar (for civic and religious computations) but the Orthodox still use the Julian calendar to calculate the Easter. The Gregorian calendar was adopted because the older, Julian one, was inaccurate; already, it has regressed by a full 13 days. This of course causes a major discrepancy, but it is not the only reason for the difference in dates.
In the early years of the church, it was of the utmost importance for the Easter not to coincide with the Jewish Passover, since the Gospels say that Christ died either after Passover (accorcing to the books of Luke, Mark and Matthew), or (according to the book of John) on the day of Passover itself.
After the adoption of the Gregorian Calendar, Easter often fell before the Jewish Passover, and the Catholic church decided to go along with this. However, for the Orthodox, it is still paramount that the celebration does not violate biblical accuracy.
There are other issues which make the whole thing even more complicated. If you wish to go into the details, you may read more here and here, or read one of the comments below, which mentions some of the doctrinal issues involved.
Are East and West ever to agree on celebrating Easter on the same date? It sometimes happens that the dates will coincide, but excluding coincidence, I don’t think convergence is likely – at least not any time soon.
As with all religious issues, this is not as simple as it may seem – trust me, I used to think so. Under the seemingly simple task of calculating a date, underlie fundamental doctrinal differences that cannot easily be overcome. So we’ll be celebrating two Easters for a long time yet, with the exception of the years 2014, 2017 and 2034, when the two fall on the same date.
And what about religious minorities living in other countries?
The solution (agreed upon by both Churches) is simple: Minorities celebrate Easter on the day established in the country they live in. So Catholics (and most Protestants) in Greece will celebrate their Easter on May 5th, while the Orthodox of, say, Finland, already celebrated their Easter.
There has been nothing but bad news about Greece’s financial crisis and people are wondering whether it is safe to buy property. A number of experts believe that the recent austerity measures as well as the confidence that the Euro is trying to inspire will mean a slow and stabilization of the economy and the property market.
The severe recession and the national debt crisis had a significant impact on real-estate markets in Greece.
Some brokers say that property prices have declined by an average of between 35% and 50% from their peak in 2008. Approximately 150,000 properties were sold every year from 2002 to 2008, but only 11,000 properties in 2011, indicating that the market had shrunk by over 90%. Greece is now a buyer’s market with buyers able to negotiate prices and buyers with cash have the upper hand. New property taxes, a 30% rate of unemployment, and cuts in pensions have forced some owners to engage in property fire sales. Price declines on popular islands like Santorini and Crete have reached 20%. The buyers Most foreign buyers in Greece come from North America and the European Union – and quite a few of them are of Greek descent. The French and the Germans buy in the islands and Russians prefer Crete. Mykonos attracts buying interest from all over the world. There are no restrictions on foreign investment except for a few areas along the Turkish border. If you are buying a home costing more than USD $104,700, you are required to hire a lawyer who will typically charge around 1% of the setting price. S/He will handle the title search, the investigation of claims and liens and the selection of a notary. If you like, s/he would also arrange for an engineer to carry out an inspection and review building permits. Foreign investors should arrange financing from their own countries because banks in Greece are currently reluctant to lend.
The outlook for 2013
Property consultants Colliers say that, after 3 years of austerity programs and economic problems, they expect that 2013 would be the first year when we see signs of the market stabilizing.
We will not see a high volume of transactions in the market but investor confidence should return. There would be more active interest from overseas investors concentrated on the hospitality sector.
Activity in industrial real estate, such as logistics, will remain depressed because of the restricted availability of bank financing and the time it would take to structure transactions.
However, increased yields should stimulate the market in the longer term. The office markets should start to recover and vacancy rates for prime office property should remain steady because of the concentration of demand. Rents should be stable because of the vacancy rates and the limited pipeline of new office properties being developed. In non-prime locations, rents are expected to drop by a further 15% to 25%. Shopping centers and retail real estate will continue to attract interest but the demand will be mainly for large stores in central locations. These are expected to continue to be the investment vehicles of choice for foreign and domestic retailers alike.
The bottom line
Investors should be cautious until the markets have shown clear signs that they have regained stability and that no further declines can be expected. However, a few opportunities on favorable terms could arise and should be seized.
The Greek Parliament endorsed an omnibus bill late on Sunday night that includes the dismissal of 15,000 lay-offs in the public sector by the end of 2014. Out of a total of 292 deputies who voted, the bill was easily passed with 168 votes in favor and 123 against.
The new bill also contains a series of measures and prior actions, that have already been agreed with the troika, in view of the disbursement of the next loan tranche.
Such measures include the number of installments available to debtors for tax and social security outstanding debts and the extension of the extraordinary property levy for one more year but reduced by 15%.
A new public opinion poll published by ALCO on Monday on behalf of the Newsit.gr website gives New Democracy a narrow lead over the radical left SYRIZA party. The New Democracy party is in the lead by 20.5 percent, compared to 19.9 percent for SYRIZA.
Cemented in third position is the far-right Golden Dawn party with 9.3 percent, followed by the socialist PASOK party with 5.5 percent, the Independent Greeks party with 5 percent, the Greek Communist Party (KKE) with 4.9 percent and barely keeping its head afloat is the Democratic Left (DIMAR) party with 3.7 percent.
Six in 10 respondents said that the coalition government is heading in the wrong direction, while 51 percent believe things would be worse under SYRIZA.

Suspiciously, Andreas Loverdos new "Agreement for the New Greece" party received 2%, while SYRIZA former leader Aleko Alavanos' party "Plan B" received 1.4%. (Both these parties were recently launched, in fact they are not older than 2,3 months, and we here at HellasFrappe find it very suspicious how they somehow gathered so much popularity in such a short time).
About 5.2% of respondents said they wanted "another" party, but did not clarify what, while there were 3.9% in blank votes, 8.1% abstained from voting and there was a total of 10.6% in independent votes.
According to media reports, Cook islands flagged cargo ship Piri Reis sunk southwest of Sapientza Island in Greece (south of Peloponnese) after colliding with the Antigua & Barbuda flagged containership Consouth. The same reports add that at least 10 Syrian seafarers from Piri Reis went missing. The containership Consouth had a crew of 16 seafarers whereas the sunken cargoship Piri Reis carried a crew of 17.
The dead bodies of two seafarers from the Piri Reis ship have been found, however there are still 8 missing.
The Greek Coastguard is in charge of the rescue operations. Authorities are using helicopters, airplanes and boats to search for survivors from the collision. More exactly, four coast guard boats, a C-130 airplane and a helicopter are taking part in the operation.
International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge stated that wrestling still stands a chance to be included in the program of the 2020 Olympic Games.Wrestling is among eight sports vying for the last spot at the 2020 Games, including a joint bid from baseball and softball, karate, squash, rollersports, sports climbing, wakeboard, and the martial art wushu.
The International Olympic Committee will narrow the list to three sports during a conference in St. Petersburg at the end of May. The final ratification will take place at the general assembly in September in Buenos Aires.
The Greek Olympic Committee (HOC) urged the IOC to reverse its decision regarding the sport that was practiced at the ancient Games and was part of the first edition of the modern Olympics in 1896. “This is undoubtedly a decision against the history of the Olympics and of sports in general,” the HOC said in a statement.
Greek Foreign Ministry spokesman Grigoris Delavekouras on Saturday slammed the comments made earlier last week by Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu that appeared to question the Lausanne as well as Paris treaties.
“There is no question or doubt whatsoever about the status of any island or islet in the Aegean,” said Delavekouras, adding that any outstanding issues have been settled by existing international agreements.
Responding to a parliamentary question from the Turkish Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Davutoglu more or less left it to be understood that several articles pertaining to the sovereignty and demilitarization of the Aegean islands were open to interpretation. In other words, he openly created grey zones in the Aegean, with a concentration on the islands of the Dodecanese.
Davutoglu said that "maritime borders in the Aegean with Greece, are not determined by a valid agreement in order to resolve problems between both sides."
Turkish MP, Lütfü Türkkan's who who had filed the question in the Parliament to Davutoglu, asked the incredible: He asked the Turkish FM to explain why after Sept. 9, 1922 when Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his colleagues (threw) the Greek soldiers in the sea, the Greek Army decided to return to these islands after 90 years which he said are being "occupied" by Greece. The islands that he is referring to are Agathonisi Kalymnos, Fournoi, Farmakonisi, etc.
He then said that the presence of the Greek military is very evident on these islands, church bells rings, and the Greek flag is hoisted, "while there is only one mosque on one of these islands." . (!!!!!) .
"Who allowed the Greek army to return? Is it true, that they were allowed return, and why?" He asked.
As shocking, and absurd, as all this sounds, Davutoglu's answer only adds more fuel to the fire. Tossing every international treaty and agreement his country has signed, The Turkish FM said that some of these islands and islets in the Aegean Sea, which are located between Greece and Turkey are connected with the "ownership of the Aegean", and that there is no such international agreement to establish these maritime boundaries between the two countries. (!!!!!!!)
And if that wasn't enough, he then criticized Greece for violating both the Treaty of Lausanne and Paris to disarm the Aegean islands.
Amid a tense debate on a new multi-bill of prior actions demanded by the Troika, which is scheduled to culminate in a vote in Parliament on Sunday night, the government of Antonis Samaras is hoping to get the green light for the disbursement of further funding, and as soon as this happens a reshuffle is to take place.
The new multi-bill aims to dismiss about 15,000 civil workers by 2014. Some might characterize this as being "uncivil" especially in a period when jobs are scarce in Greece, but we here at HellasFrappe actually applaud this, and hope that more dismissals are made because this country has (too many) extremely incompetent, and certainly unnecessary, civil workers.
The new law also aims at cleaning shop and promises to dismiss workers who have been charged for corruption. Also, it will make it easier to fire people in the public sector -which until now never happened-, as well as add 2 working hours a week to schoolteachers schedules. Parallel to this it plans to open up internal positions for competition opportunities and finally it is reportedly also going to introduce a reduced property tax by about 15 percent.
Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras described the new bill as an upgrading of Greece's public sector, and HellasFrappe totally agrees with him. He noted that as soon as the bill goes through new positions are going to be created and fresh blood (with all the proper qualifications) will be hired based on merit.
But of course the media, especially some "progressive" channels are criticizing the decision to pass this multi-bill, describing it as a new Memorandum.
IMF Representative Poul Thomsen told CTV News that in Greece it is still considered a "taboo" to dismiss people from the public sector. He is right, because the public sector was the client base for the two major political parties, especially PASOK. In fact, there have never, ever been any forced dismissals of employees whose positions were either eliminated or who are totally incompetent.
Thomsen added that this dramatic rebalancing of the economy caused a sharp increase in unemployment in the private sector, while public sector employees were being protected.
But the streamlining of the Greek public sector is expected to meet with tough resistance, especially from the unions.

A senior United Nations investigator has said Greece is falling behind on its human rights obligations and strongly criticised the "excessively rigid" demands of the country's bailout programme.
UN independent expert Cephas Lumina said that a surge in unemployment and axed benefits had left a growing number of Greeks without health insurance and about 10 percent of the population living in "extreme poverty".
He said some 470,000 immigrants without proper residence permits were among the most vulnerable to labour exploitation and other abuses.
He urged the troika – the European Union, the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund – to include human rights considerations in the country's austerity programs.
Greek schoolteachers are planning a protest rally in central Athens on Sunday after learning that the government decided to add two more hours to their weekly workload. The rally, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday afternoon, was organized after they found out that in a bid to cut down on the cost of hiring substitutes to make up for shortfalls, the Education Ministry decided to force them to work an additional two hours a week.
Not surprisingly, the union representing the schoolteachers, OLME, said that the decision is “yet another bomb in public education and the working conditions of educators.” At the same time it warned that it may proceed with strike action during the crucial national university entrance exams, which begin on May 17. (In other words, they blackmailed both the government as well as the students).
(Greek schoolteachers do not even work less than 30 hours a week. And they are the only segment of the public sector that gets a two-month paid vacation in the summer time. HellasFrappe believes that 2 hours a week, which equals to 8 hours a month, is certainly not a tragedy. Imagine if they were obligated to work an additional 10 hours... Would they stage an all-out war?)

Christof Lehmann (nsnbc),- The Boston Marathon Bombing is being wrapped up. Wrapped up in an official narrative as riddled with omissions and distortions as the 9/11 Commission Report. The Boston Bombing is also being wrapped up in “official false flag narratives” with a content, that justifies the question whether those who plan a false flag “event” are presumed to be too naive to also disseminate the official “alternative cover-up”.
Its time to step back to ground zero and the initial reports of the Washington Post who reported about a Saudi suspect, and then consider, that even this may in fact be covering up for a much more obvious Saudi connection, which leads directly to the House of Saud and Prince Alwaleed. Beside that, why is it, that we don´t hear anything about the fact, that the uncle of the purported bombers, or patsies, is a former contractor with ties to Haliburton?
The First Reports, the Saudi National and the “Contractor-Types”.
Shortly afterward they were again photographed, with devices in their hands which could resemble detonators. A car drove up to the finish line of the Marathon, apparently belonging to or related to the “contractor-types”. As it often is the case, the truth is often hidden right before our very eyes, and the key to it, is most likely in one of the first photographs which were circulated in LandDestroyer´s article.
Shortly after the blast, the Washington Post began reporting about a Saudi suspect who was at a hospital. Not long afterward however, the Washington Post and other mainstream media became adamant about the “fact” that the “Saudi national who was injured during the bombing was a witness, not a suspect”.

Thanks to the fact that alternative media are becoming increasingly awake, aware and professional in their work, and thanks to the fact that the Boston Marathon Bombing was one of the most photographed terrorist attacks ever to be committed on US soil, it became soon possible to identify details about the “contractor-types” uniform, including their caps. Apparently, the logo on the caps tied the “contractor-types” to the security contractor firm Craft International, founded by a Chris Kyle.
Professor James H. Fetzer wrote an in depth editorial, also published on nsnbc international, under the headline “Some hard Lessons from the Boston Bombing. Bombing a Staged Event”. Prof. Fetzer´s brilliant article, describes the background of Craft international, the death of the founder and owner of the company, Chris Kyle, and it reveals apparent attempts to obfuscate some of the photos which were circulated, by photoshopping the CRAFT logo on one of the caps so it was no longer clearly identifiable.
The article also details that the two suspects, whom we will discuss below, most likely have been set up as patsies, comparable to Lee Harvey Oswald in the Kennedy assassination. Prof. Fetzer, a philosopher of science and an expert in logical reasoning, is also asking the hard questions which need to be asked and answered or acted upon. Questions, which could be rephrased into, whether Americans want to reclaim their country from the clutches of fascism and how. What Prof. Fetzer missed, because he was not yet aware of a photo that would be sent to the scribe, is the fact that the Saudi connection was clearly visible, right under everybody´s noses so to speak.
The Bloodless Amputation. The legs were literally being pulled away under the official narrative.
The man who apparently had lost his legs in the Boston bomb blast turned out to be an Afghanistan veteran and amputee. The scribe of this article has been working as volunteer rescue worker and rescue dog handler for years. A person, loosing legs from blast trauma is unconscious after a minute and dead after two.
He certainly won´t be able to sit upright in a wheel chair, minutes later, without any blood gushing out of the stumps, fully conscious. I submit, that it is utterly impossible and would not even have been acceptable at a rescue exercise, where actors or volunteers, for the purposes or training rescue personnel, are carefully instructed, so that their acting confronts the trainee with a realistic scenario.
In another photo, right after the “blast” or smoke bomb”, the Afghanistan veteran and amputee is laying on the ground, while his partner is helping to put the prosthesis with gushing wounds, which are supposed to look as if he had his legs blasted off. Again, no gushing blood.
Had this been a real event, the men would have had blood gushing all over them from the severed femoral venae and arteries. Medical doctors, nurses, rescue personnel and the populations who have bought into the narrative of X people having been killed and Y having been injured would be well advised to have a close look at photo documentations like that of Flickr contributor Hahatango.
Tsarnaev Brothers, The Perfect Patsies, Dead Man Walking and an Uncle with Haliburton Ties.
Approximately simultaneously with the alternative media´s discovering of ever more details which made it clear, that the Boston Marathon Bombing was a false flag and that the official narrative was rapidly falling apart, the message about the purported perpetrators, a couple of brothers with “Chechen” background was released through the mainstream media.
The two brothers, who had come to the USA about ten years earlier were the perfect distraction and they are still, in US, western as well as Russian media described as the perpetrators who committed the grisly acts of murder with a “weapon of mass destruction”. In a less propagandistic language one would say a “smoke-bomb” to lay a smoke screen. However, a camera had apparently caught the two red-handed, but the camera does not reveal anything about their motivation, nor does it reveal anything about who else eventually may have been involved.
Another problem with the story is, that the mother of the two “homegrown Chechen terrorists” stated that the FBI had been observing “every move and step of the two brothers for years”, and that even though the FBI first denied it, the FBI had been in contact with them before.
boston bombing live leakThe brothers were not only patsies, but it is highly probable that the elder of the Tsarnaev brothers was murdered after he was arrested. Murdered, by those who have committed the false flag operation or by his handlers. According to the official narrative, the brothers were confronted by law enforcement and a gunfight ensued. During this gunfight, the elder brother was purportedly shot, and subsequently run over by a car, driven by his escaping, carjacking younger brother. It sounds dramatic, and had a dramatic effect on the population, but how realistic is the scenario?
The problem with that story is, that the aunt of the allegedly driven over and killed “terrorist” is swearing that she can recognize and positively identify him as a person who appears in a video, in which he is naked and led to a police car.
The aunt, who apparently is too intimidated to make additional statements, has however, not retracted her statement either, and her statements must be considered as having the status of evidence or at least of indirect evidence through the agancy of the journalist, to whom she reported her observation.
Unless dead men are walking, it is very likely that the man was killed while he was in the custody of law enforcement or in the custody of someone who was posing as law enforcement. Also this detail, among many other, warrants a profound investigation.
The second, younger brother was reportedly found after an army of 5,000 militarized policemen conducted a house to house search or manhunt. The boy was finally discovered, hiding in a small, dry-docked boat in an area called Watertown. Again a gunfight ensued, and an arrest was made. The boy was, according to official reports wounded, shot in the throat and unable to speak. It is to be expected then, that any statements from him would have to be written statements, which is an interesting detail in an on itself.
The by-standing, well propagandized US citizens were, at least if one is to believe TV images, clapping their hands in joy over the successful conclusion of the terrorist door to door hunt, in which police systematically overstepped the civil liberties and rights of hundreds of citizens.
The most important aspect about the involvement of the Tsarnaev brothers however, is the fact that their uncle has been working as a contractor for Haliburton, and this fact seems to be systematically kept out of the mainstream media.
Its like someone wanted to say “Go away ! We have our patsies, don´t you ruin our cover-up by bringing Haliburton into the picture!”. I would submit to the reader, that it is of the utmost importance to follow this lead to the end. One of the reasons for insisting, that this lead has to be followed, is that Haliburton also rings bells with regard to Saudi-Arabia and Chechnya.
For those who are unaware of the implications, it is the same Haliburton, the multinational juggernaut, as Hopsicker puts it, which was run by Dick Cheney before he became Vice President of the USA. I would add to Hopsicker, and before he, that is Dick Cheney, became “Commander in Chief of the 9/11 False Flag Operation”. Recommended reading here, would be “Crossing the Rubicon: The Decline of the American Empire at the End of the Age of Oil“, by former LAPD Homicide and Narcotics investigator Michael J. Ruppert who, at the very least, has presented a prosecutable case against Dick Cheney, and who also details the role of Haliburton.
The Hopsicker article is a must read, for everybody who wants to understand how uncle Ruslan Tsarni´s relationship with Haliburton, as well as with USAID, which is a known CIA front and which has been unceremoniously thrown out of Russia for the illegitimate financing and aiding of the opposition to Russia´s President Vladmir Putin, is increasingly becoming discredited as one of the main sponsors or lead dogs of non-state actors, who target “nations or regions of interest” for the USA. Within this context it is also interesting to recall, that there were strong foreign ties to the planned assassination of Russia´s President Vladimir Putin in February 2012.
Many, if not most of these non-state actors, including Chechen “rebels” as the USA until very recently euphemistically described the Al Qaeda associated Chechen “men who went to the forest”, have very close ties to Al-Qaeda and other Wahhabi and Salafist organizations, which are systematically and consistently being sponsored by the main Arab US ally in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia.
Al-Harbi, voluntarily deported to Saudi-Arabia
The Saudi National who was not a suspect but a victim, who was classified as dangerous, proven terrorist, but who agreed to be voluntarily deported; A distraction from the real deal ?
The US American journalist Glen Beck came close, very close to reporting the truth about the Saudi involvement – or – he swallowed the decoy, hook, line and sinker, while the real deal, with direct ties to the house of Saud and Prince Alwaleed, who actually took part in the operation, as one of the “contractor-type” guys, who has been right under our noses all along, slipped through the meshes.
In a video, Glenn Back reported, that the Saudi national was a certain Abdul Rahman Ali Al-Harbi. Al-Harbi, a Saudi student, reportedly belongs to a high society Saudi family with close ties to the Saudi royal family. (Above video)
Among other facts which have transpired, is the fact that Al-Harbi, at least “reportedly” was sufficiently well connected for the Saudi Foreign Minister to intervene. Al-Harbi was reportedly enough of a “person of interest” for both US President Barak Obama and his wife Michelle Obama to become directly involved, to assure, that Al-Harbi was “voluntarily deported” to Saudi Arabia. Now have a look at the boy in the image above. Does he strike you as being a hardened terrorist ? In a certain sense Beck may be reinforcing the false narrative that Al-Harbi is a “bad, bad, bad” person, a reference to the most dangerous classification of terrorists in the USA. Only a real investigation would reveal the real role of Al-Harbi.
After 9/11, after members of the bin Laden family have been flown out of the USA while there was a ban on all flights over the USA. It would not be surprising if Al-Harbi was deported even though he was involved, but was he ? It would not have been surprising either, that the two Tsarnaev brothers would have been used as decoy, as patsies, to cover-up Saudi involvement.
It seems to be the case that also the young, well connected Saudi student Al-Harbi is far from the “Real Deal”. It is of course interesting, that Saudi media report that six of Al-Harbi´s family members are listed as terrorists. On the other hand, in a country which is known to be the worlds largest state sponsor of Wahhabi and Salafist organizations, including many charities and militant organizations with ties to Al Qaeda, and in a country where the term family is equivalent to “extended family or clan”, it is probably not as uncommon to have six members of one´s “family” tied to terrorism as most people would assume it to be.
What turned the tide for me, was an e-mail, which I received from a woman, whose name and identity is known to me, and who previously has been married into a Saudi family. Attached to the e-mail was a collage of photos.
The photo is a cutout of the first photo in the article “Contractors” at Boston Marathon Stood Near Bomb, Left Before Detonation”, published in LandDestroyer and nsnbc international. The second photo from the left, featuring the same person, now after the explosion, standing at the opposite side of the street, is a cutout of the second photo in the LandDestroyer article. To find the person in the photo, follow the white line “Now Here”. The third and fourth photos from the left are featuring the same person. Only, this time, not in Craft international uniform but in civilian clothing, and more importantly, in company of Saudi-Arabia´s Prince Alwaleed. I could be mistaken, I admit. But compare the faces, compare the hairline, and most importantly, compare the ears.
I submit to you, that there is good reason to ask Prince Alwaleed about the identity of the young man in his company in the photo to the right, and to investigate the whereabouts of this young man on the day of the Boston Marathon Bombing. After the news hit the media, current leader Evangelos Venizelos decided to clean up house, and went on a rant trying to convince all concerned that this occurred during George Papandreou's term. Was he convincing? Not on your life! Nonetheless he is now pressed against a corner now to come clean and most importantly clean up house.
Venizelos appointed five accounting firms (Grant Thornton, Ernst & Young, KPMG, Deloitte & Touche and PWC Greece) to audit the party, whose debt apparently stand at 114 million Euros. According to the Efimerida ton Syntakton newspaper, their report would show that 114.5 million Euros had been spent between 2007 and 2010 without proper records being kept. (Meaning that they were spent under George Papandreou's leadership).
Not surprising, PASOK did not confirm the report, but reports said that they did note that an audit had been carried out on financial records between 2004 and 2010 and that those findings would be discussed by the appropriate party bodies. (In other words, general mambo jumbo, known PASOK tactic).
The newspaper claims that accountants found that spending approved by former leader and ex-Prime Minister George Papandreou, as well as ex-secretary Nikos Athanasakis and general secretary Rovertos Spyropoulos, did not have the necessary paperwork. When the news made it to mainstream Spyropoulos issued a statement claiming that this revelation bore “no relation to the truth."
So what is the truth? The truth is that PASOK is at war with itself, because there are too many MPs openly criticising Venizelos' leadership. So the audit could provide an opportunity for Venizelos to distance himself from the party’s record under Papandreou.

I had to laugh when I read that the British have a new boss at MI5, Andrew Parker, who according to the media has a “wealth of experience and knowledge”. That Mr Parker led the security services’ response to the 2005 London attacks, that aspect I find most interesting, especially now that we now know it was an inside job and that the so called 4 Islamic Terrorist were hired as actors for a dress rehearsal that very same morning and the fact that all four missed their train from Luton and could not have been on the Tube Trains at the time of the alleged explosions, and the fact that those on-board the trains (that survived) explained in great detail that the explosion were from beneath the trains and not from within!!
If the vastly experienced Mr Parker was responsible for the security services response perhaps he would like to explain how these so called four Islamic Terrorist died, was he responsible for their assassinations over in Canada Square – Canary Wharf where all four were shot (assassinated) and who did not die as “Suicide Bombers” as we were led to believe!!!
He also has another accolade under his belt according to the BBC report:

I would also like to mention at this stage that I myself was a Security Manager at a major international airport with responsibility in receiving security updates and taking appropriate action, tarmac security, passenger and baggage screening etc, this led me to later control a VIP Jet reception centre that received the world’s elite, including members of the Royal Family, so I am therefore asking Mr Parker based on my own past experience.
Much of today’s security at international airports is now under the control of Israeli owned security companies and that is why we get so many false flags that are now bordering on becoming pathetic. The classic example is the potential bomber who flew half way round the world before finally leaving Amsterdam bound for the US and did not have a passport or ticket. This is typical of the mass hysteria our governments are pumping into our brains!!

First you need to understand just how easy it is to create your own scam or virtual company.
Pretend you are a leader or a very senior political figure and you want make yourself and your associates an awful lot of money. First you must find yourself a group of potential directors who already have a track record of well concealed fraud and corruption. A few names that come to mind would have to be George Bush Snr and Jnr, Tony Blair, David Cameron, Lord Michael Howard the list is endless.
Now create or invent some attractive name for your oil or mining company with an elaborate sounding address. Find some disused or derelict historical mine that produced small quantities of gold back in Victorian days. obtain obsolete data such as yield per ton and very old out of date topographical charts showing the location etc. The more remote or isolated the better (this stops your potential investors from checking it out). A jungle locations somewhere in the Congo would be perfect. Now you are almost ready to go.
Register your company and its directors at some fictitious address where many other non existent companies operate from (this is called a Boiler Room), put someone in their to take company calls and now go about creating a wonderful presentation to dupe your potential investors.
You take video’s or photographs of the location and in the foreground you place a couple of impressive drilling rigs and trucks etc. Then make up a power point presentation showing your intended phased project, what you expect to find in your initial exploration followed by some very impressive figures as to future growth and predicted yields etc. Now you are all set to spoof or should I say rape those that wish to invest in your project.
Just to drift off the topic for one moment I remember seeing one such picture in Africa that showed a massive mountain backdrop with a line up of new trucks and drill rigs etc. The only mistake they made was the the scenery was fake and you could actually see the shadows of the vehicles etc on the scenery backdrop!
To continue – you then go off on a world tour to London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, New York etc to raise billions of dollars for this mammoth phased mining project. You wine and dine your potential investors (more wine than dine as this tend to free up more money). By the end of your tour you have raised maybe 3 billion or whatever and you immediately put your stolen funds into many offshore outlets and other virtual subsidiary companies that is far beyond the prying eyes of the government fraud office (not as they do anything about it anyway) and then having got your exploration permit you drill the required hole which is normally at least one per annum.
Over the next five years you have to convince your investors that things are going along nicely i.e. in the first and second year you have started your drilling schedules and results are pleasing etc etc. Then around year three – four you have to throw in a couple of set backs such as heavy rains in the Congo has caused flooding in the area or that some militia has taken up arms in the area and causing delays etc etc. Then possible between year 4-5 you start to give them some very bad news that because of the above or the fact that the initial findings have now proved that the yield per ton is not commercially viable or because of the conflict you have decided to close down the operation etc etc and hey presto you have raked in massive funds compared to your very small outlgoings.
The final stage is to close the company down and restart another bogus company at another bogus location with your bogus friends and the whole process starts again. What the investors do not realise is that from the very moment they parted with their money it was stolen and gone forever.
This gives you all an insight as to how the New World Order, the politicians, CEO and Bankers carry out their massive rape of many countries around the world. Try to imagine this activity in every major city in every country and then multiply it by the amount of fake companies in those cities and you can see that.the theft amounts to billions if not trillions each and every year. That is fraud and corruption on a massive scale and remember all this money goes offshore in places like the Bahamas, Virgin Islands etc and that also deprives each country of taxes. Some banks actually give unsecured loans to these thugs which means when they intentionally close down the bank ends up with a toxic debt. Then the bastards have the audacity to come along and ask for a bail out using your tax payers money. It does not stop there because that money is also siphoned off into their own hidden lucrative scams.
As an example the US moved US$ 15 trillion (in three $5 trillion tranches) over to the HSBC bank in London, it was then passed onto the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), that was in financial difficulty, where it simply disappeared. Can you even imagine that an amount of money equal to the total US National Debt was stolen from the citizens of the United States?
You also do note realise that the banks themselves intentionally offload vast sums of money ahead of their very well planned collapse and before they ask for their respective bailouts.
This was the case more recently in Cyprus when over 40 million Euros was transferred from the Laiki bank to another account leaving them to then raid what was left of someone else’s money.
Then along comes the New World Order bank (IMF) to take over their country and impose harsh austerity measures.

Fraudster – Illegal Arms Dealer – War Criminal
Here is as extract from one brief that contained that some extremely sensitive information such as the illegal purchase of battlefield ready nuclear bombs from South Africa, compliments of the governments of Israel and the RSA. The same report revealed how British Tax Payers money was abused when it was channeled via the private sector (a consortium of high ranking politicians) to purchase these weapons whilst UN sanctions were in place.
It revealed the fact that many existing and past senior MP’s and senior members of the House of Lord’s benefited in a private capacity in this highly illegal – under the radar operations and how £17.7 million just so happened to end up in the Tory Party Funds in an attempt to save the neck of the Iron Lady herself, Maggie Thatcher.
So you may ask who were some of the “Ace Team” that pulled of this total farce. Well folks non other than our current Prime Minister, David Cameron who was only 24 at the time and still attached to the apron strings of Dear Maggie!! He was accompanied by Sir Kenneth Warren and the late Dear Dr. David Kelly was also involved, not to mention Peter Lilley MP who also had his finger in the pie, as did many other MP’s etc. Basically this means that those involved should now be in prison under the “Nuclear Explosions Act” and also serving time for massive fraud!
Let’s just take a look at what happened during this deeply flawed, under the table deal. Maggie wanted to take some of the nuclear bombs (that the RSA were not supposed to have) and have them on standby to drop on Saddam if he did not toe the line! Ten bombs were made in conjunction with Israel and one was tested on Prince Edward Island south of the mainland.
It became an extremely serious matter for the RSA Government, the British Government and the US when it became clear that there would soon be a changeover from white to black. Maggie was alarmed at this possibility and so a decision was made to send the remaining nine to Chicago for decommissioning etc.
Dear Maggie in all her warped wisdom wanted to buy three of the nine and store them in Oman. They were sent to Omen totally unsecured and were stored in a unsecured private compound that was owned by a friend of the arms dealer, John Bredenkamp. It was this man who then switched the bombs for concrete blocks in standard shipping containers and drove them out of the compound.
The British and US Governments could not say anything as the entire deal was highly illegal.
Because of this gross neglect the US went to war with Iraq and to this day the fact that missing nukes are still out there somewhere continues to bring conflict to the region, especially from Israel who know about the weapons in fine detail because it was their technicians that help build and test them.

A new public opinion poll which was conducted by VPRC on behalf of the (leftist) "In the Red" radio station reported that SYRIZA has taken a lead over the New Democracy party by 2.5%. Quite surprisingly and given all the bad rap that they have received over the past month, the Golden Dawn party increased its percentage and came in third with an average of about 13%!
The poll also indicates that PASOK and the Communist Party also increased their percentage, while DIMAR marked a decline.
Asked who was the most appropriate prime minister, a whopping 60.3% said "no one," while present Prime Minister Antonis Samaras came in second with 16.6%.

An all out brawl broke between members of a Roma community in the municipality of Irakleia in Serres, in northern Greece, leaving one person with stab wounds. The clash was prompted by a personal dispute, and escalated into an all out war amongst community members. So much so, that shots were fired and knives were drawn.
Im 2012 Greek authorities began cracking down on illegal Roma settlements around the country after police suggested that many operate like Mafia-style gangs. The main areas of activity are said to be drug trafficking and the illegal trade in scrap metal. They do not like police checks and/or raids, and in the past when when such an operations took place, they even drew their own guns on authorities.
Interestingly, the Roma in Greece live scattered on the whole territory of the country. Notable centres are Agia Varvara which has a very successful Roma community and Ano Liosia (both areas of which are in Attiki, or near Athens).
Although a large number of Roma has adopted a sedentary and urban way of living, there are still some communities that definately differentiate themselves from the rest of the population.
For instance, they face several problems including high instances of child labour and abuse, low school attendance, police discrimination and as we mentioned earlier, drug trafficking. Combine this with theft, and its all about crime!
But certainly, the most serious issue is the housing problem since many Roma in Greece still live in tents, or on properties that are not their own, and illegally consume electricity and water. Money of which is then paid by the Greek tax payer.
What is interesting to note is that both the UN and the EU overlooks all the above, as well as the fact that entire bridges are being dismantled every day and sold for their metal by this community and instead slams Greece, and Greeks, for being too racist to them.
Moreover Greeks cannot accept communities that act like a state within a state. Aside from the drug trafficking, theft and illegal scrap metal trade, these people also illegally and unlawfully allow their children to marry at a young age, and this is obviously a form of child (and sexual) abuse. And this is still practised until today!
So if the EU and the UN overlook this, then why campaign around the globe about child abuse? It is kind of hypocritical.
As is calling Greeks racists since they are always victimized by this community. On the other, the Roma that live in organized communities in Piraeus and other areas of Greece have begun integrating with the Greek community and they are widely accepted. These people have their own businesses, are law abiding citizens and send their children to school.
Greeks cannot accept and/or tolerate crime, and certainly this is something that the UN and EU cannot (or is rather pretending not) to see.
Nikos Fotopoulos, the head of the powerful GENOP-DEH union representing employees of the Public Power Corporation (PPC) faced an investigating magistrate on Friday in order to answer to criminal charges of breach of faith.
The charges that against Fotopoulos are linked to millions of Euros in funding that GENOP-DEH received from PPC for trips and conferences for which public administration watchdog Leandros Rakintzis found bogus invoices and receipts.
He is now out on bail (60,000 Euros) and restricted from leaving the country until the case goes to trial.
Earlier this month the current CEO of PPC, Arthouros Zervos, and his predecessor, Takis Athanasopoulos, were questioned over the firm’s funding of union movements as well. In all, there are 15 members from DEH's Board of Directors that are in the Magistrate's eye that are due (or have already been) questioned.
Police arrested two board members of Acropolis Securities SA for their share in the brokerage's debt to the state, which approaches a staggering 40 billion euros (or roughly 18 percent of Greece's GDP).
According to an announcement issued by the Attica Security Protection of Property Rights Department, which carried out the arrest, each of the brokerage's former board members now in custody is charged with unpaid debts to the state of approximately 6.38 billion euros.
Those arrested on Wednesday include the Acropolis Securities vice-president, aged 49, and a 46-year-old member of the brokerage's board. The precise amount of their debt to the state, as listed in the court orders against them, comes to 6,388,681,939.10 euros each.
According to the police, the debts of Acropolis Securities SA, combined with the fines imposed on the brokerage by the finance ministry's financial crime squad SDOE, is just shy of 40 BILLION Euros and has been divided equally among each member of the former and current board.
The arrest of the 40-year-old former vice-president of the brokerage, Theodoros Priniotakis, and his two sisters Christina and Katerina, aged 30 and 37, both former board members, followed the arrest a few days ago of the company's former president. The two arrests on Wednesday complete the round of arrests in connection with the case.
Acropolis Securities SA was also the brokerage firm involved in the notorious structured bonds scandal of 2007, in which a number of Greek pension funds lost money through the purchase of these complex financial instruments at well over their going rate on the market, and has since had its license revoked.
All six suspects arrested will be led before the appropriate Misdemeanours Court prosecutor.
Greece's financial prosecutors (or as we wittingly call them the "dynamic duo") have apparently asked banks for lists of individuals that repatriated sizeable amounts of capital between the periods of September 2010 and September 2011, availing themselves of a "tax amnesty" then in force. The request, said one report from the state news agency, is made in the framework of the ongoing 'Lagarde list' investigation, with the prosecutors seeking to determine whether a link can be established between the list of individuals with deposits in the Swiss branch of HSBC - known as the Lagarde list - and the decision made by then finance minister George Papakonstantinou to extend favourable regulations for repatriating funds.
(It should be reminded that Papakonstantinou is being probed by a preliminary Parliamentary investigation into the handling of the Lagarde list and the failure by Greek authorities to promptly follow up on the evidence this contained.)
The decision extended a law by a previous finance minister, George Alogoskoufis, which gave those repatriating funds immunity from prosecution and required them to pay only a fixed amount of tax.
A family member of Papakonstantinou included in the Lagarde list cited this legislation in testimony to the two financial prosecutors.
A closer examination of the issue was deemed necessary when it became apparent that Papakonstantinou had extended the favourable regime of the Alogoskoufis law just a few days after he first received the Lagarde list from French authorities at the end of September 2010.
The first extension by Papakonstantinou was from October 2010 until December 31, 2010. This was followed by a second extension from March 31, 2011 until September 30, 2011.
Banks are expected to send their replies to the financial prosecutors by mid May, while the two prosecutors have also sought the assistance of the general secretariat for information systems.
Regional authorities in Attica together with the Hellenic Food Authority (EFET) on Thursday called for the withdrawal from the Greek market of a dye for Easter eggs selling under the brand name Radix Cut after inspections (with the General Chemical State Laboratory ) showed it contained the extract of a plant that is toxic, and unsafe.
Also, and following the analytical results issued by the General Chemical State Laboratory and the Press Release of EFET of the 8th of April 2013, the two samples of the company “P. G. NIKAS AVEE” (in greek «Π. Γ. ΝΙΚΑΣ ΑΒΕΕ») of “NIKAS Bovine” product type (in greek: «ΝΙΚΑΣ ΜΟΣΧΑΡΙ») which had been produced by bovine meat, originated from ITALY, and found positive in horse DNA, were found positive also to phenylobutazone.
We inform the consumers that these products have been already withdrawn from the market by the end of March 2013 and are no longer placed on the market.
The former head of the Financial Crimes Squad (SDOE), Yiannis Diotis, would on Thursday face the parliamentary committee probing the political handling of the Lagarde list of Greek depositors once again to respond to a report suggesting the existence of a second memory stick containing the list beyond the one given to the authorities last fall.

The panel, whose progress has been slowed down by tense disputes between rival MPs, was given a second extension earlier this week in the framework of completing its report, which is due by June 17.
