The former head of the Financial Crimes Squad (SDOE), Yiannis Diotis, would on Thursday face the parliamentary committee probing the political handling of the Lagarde list of Greek depositors once again to respond to a report suggesting the existence of a second memory stick containing the list beyond the one given to the authorities last fall.
New concerns have arisen from an examination of Diotis’s computer by an expert who is to testify before the committee this afternoon before the former SDOE chief faces the MPs. The panel, whose progress has been slowed down by tense disputes between rival MPs, was given a second extension earlier this week in the framework of completing its report, which is due by June 17.
