Conspiracy or Turth - Obama Meets With Top Russian Spy, Warns He Can’t Stop War

A new report from the Russian Federation Security Council (SCRF) on Federal Security Service (FSB) Director Alexander Bortnikov’s recent private visit with US President Barack Obama at the White House, in Washington D.C., grimly states that America’s leader has “privately advised” President Vladimir Putin that a global war is nearing… and he “may be powerless to stop it”.

Director Bortnikov, it is important to remember, is in some Kremlin circles believed to be the third most powerful person in Russia after President Putin, along with being known as the Federations top counter intelligence commander.

As an agent of the Committee for State Security (KGB) since 1975, Director Bortnikov, over the past 40 years, ascended through the ranks of Russian intelligence and from 2004-2008 was head of the FSB’s Economic Security Service and a Deputy Director of FSB, after which he became the Director on 12 May 2008.

Reports of Director Bortnikov's travels to meet President Obama a few weeks ago, it is interesting to note, did not emerge until the FSB published a press release announcing he was already in the United States. The release specifically mentioned that Director Bortnikov had been invited by the US State Department and the White House.

Though Director Bortnikov cannot travel to EU countries or Canada because he is on their sanctions list, it is interesting to note, he is notably absent from the US list and “officially” he was in the United States for two days to attend the White House Summit on Countering Violent Extremism.

Director Bortnikov’s private White House visit with President Obama a few weeks ago, it should be further noted, follows a similar meeting held this past May between America’s leader and SCRF Secretary Nikolai Patrushev (known as the second most powerful person in Russia), who, likewise, has been a longtime KGB-FSB spy.

As to why President Obama has chosen over the past year to meet privately in the White House with the Federations top two spies this SCRF report doesn’t say, but it is understandable in the context of a similar crisis between Russia and the US that occurred in the early 1960’s when then President John F. Kennedy chose to use indirect backchannels with both Cuba and Moscow to defuse the Cuban Missile Crisis as he did not trust his own country’s warmongers in the Pentagon and Congress.

President Obama’s choice to meet with Director Bortnikov, the “shadow CIA” global intelligence organization STRATFOR further reports, is due to the FSB Director’s knowing the ins and outs of Russia's support for separatists and intelligence on US moves in the region.

Also, STRATFOR correctly reports, Director Bortnikov is an economist by trade and understands the pressure created by Western sanctions on Russia and has the comprehensive knowledge needed to discuss all these issues in Washington.

In other words…as the Western propaganda news media continues to print stories about a possible coup d'état in Russia against President Putin, the more likely truth is that one is currently underway in the United States.

To President Obama’s “warning” to Director Bortnikov, this SCRF report says, that he may be powerless to stop a global war was further accentuated last week when the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) reported that Minister Sergey Lavrov had endured a nearly one-hour tirade from US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland who, among other claims, “raged” that former Vice President Richard “Dick” Cheney was in charge of the United States, not President Barack Obama.

     According to this report, a “highly agitated” Secretary Nuland contacted Minister Lavrov (last week) demanding that Russia immediately order Iran to return to US custody the 4 CIA agents arrested and detained for directing ISIS terror forces in Iraq.
     Secretary Nuland, also, this report continues, “bluntly warned” Minister Lavrov that should Moscow ever again provide to France, or any other NATO nation, superior “electronic-technology”, and for the Russian air force to continue disabling US warships, she would further order the American military to “aggressively respond”.
     Most astoundingly, though, of Secretary Nuland’s “rages”, this report says, was her reply to Minister Lavrov when asked by whose authority she was speaking, and to which she replied, “Cheney gives the orders here now, not Obama, and you assholes better get used to it!”
     Important to note about Secretary Nuland, this report notes, is that she has long been one of the top tier operatives in the Bush-Clinton Criminal Syndicate working first in the Clinton administration where she was chief of staff to US Deputy Secretary of State Strobe Talbott before moving on to serve as deputy director for former Soviet Union affairs.
     Upon President George W. Bush taking office in 2001, this report continues, Secretary Nuland served as the principal deputy foreign policy adviser to Vice President Cheney and then as US ambassador to NATO, and when President Barack Obama took office in 2009, she returned to the US State Department run by Hillary Clinton and still holds the title of Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.With President Putin, and other top political and military officials, remaining today under the “protection” of the Ministry of Defense due to fears of a first-strike nuclear launch against the Federation this coming week, a horrific plot uncovered by the FSB, the SCRF in this report notes that communications to avert total war are currently ongoing, but the outcome is not certain due to no one in the Kremlin even knowing who is in charge of the United States anymore.

To the “vulgar-criminal” undiplomatic language employed by Secretary Nuland during her tirade with Minister Lavrov, this report says, is “nothing new” as the Federal Security Services (FSB) had documented in 2014 when they released her private telephonic exchange with the US ambassador to Ukraine in which while engineering the coup in that nation she stated:

      “OK. He's now gotten both Serry and [UN Secretary General] Ban Ki-moon to agree that Serry could come in Monday or Tuesday. So that would be great, I think, to help glue this thing and to have the UN help glue it and, you know, Fuck the EU.”

Equally as disturbing to Secretary Nuland’s destruction of Ukraine, which STRATFOR (aka The Shadow CIA) head George Friedman recently called “the most blatant coup in history”, has been her “coordinated actions” with her former lover and current NATO commander General Philip Breedlove whose continued lies about Russian involvement in this conflict has left Germany “stunned” and led their government at the beginning of March to label his words as “dangerous propaganda”.

What appeared to be most concerning to Secretary Nuland, however, MoFA experts say, was Moscow allowing the French navy earlier last month to equip their nuclear attack submarine Saphir with one of Russia’s revolutionary electronic warfare systems weapons, and which allowed this submarine to sink an entire US navy carrier group, including the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt, in war games conducted off the coast of Florida.

To how greatly feared by Secretary Nuland, and her Bush-Clinton criminal masters, this new Russian weapons system is, this report says, can be read, in part, as related by top US defense experts who stated last year after its first use:

     “Russian Sukhoi Su -24 with the newest jamming complex paralyzed in the Black Sea the most modern American combat management system “Aegis” installed on the destroyer “USS Donald Cook”. Pavel Zolotarev, Deputy Director, Institute of USA and Canada, shares details about this version which is being actively discussed in the Russian media and by bloggers.     US destroyer “Donald Cook” with cruise missiles “Tomahawk” entered the neutral waters of the Black Sea on April 10. The purpose was a demonstration of force and intimidation in connection with the position of Russia in Ukraine and Crimea. The appearance of American warships in these waters is in contradiction of the Montreux Convention about the nature and duration of stay in the Black Sea by the military ships of countries not washed by this sea.
      In response, Russia sent an unarmed bomber Su- 24 to fly around the U.S. destroyer. However, experts say that this plane was equipped with the latest Russian electronic warfare complex. According to this version, “Aegis” spotted from afar the approaching aircraft, and sounded alarm. Everything went normally, American radars calculated the speed of the approaching target. And suddenly all the screens went blank. “Aegis” was not working any more, and the rockets could not get target information. Meanwhile, Su-24 flew over the deck of the destroyer, did battle turn and simulated missile attack on the target. Then it turned and repeated the maneuver. And did so 12 times.     Apparently, all efforts to revive the “Aegis” and provide target information for the defence failed.”

To if the American people themselves are aware of who is actually running their government the (both) report (s) do not say; but with a shocking new reports detailing how these people are 58 times more likely to die at the hands of their own police forces than terrorists, their media blacking out the fact that one of their top allies in Libya has now become the ISIS commander there, and an astounding 33% of them now being jobless, one can readily ask if these people even care anymore about anything.

OPINION - Opening the Gates to World War III

According to former US Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Economic Policy, Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, the West has decided to arm Ukraine for renewed military assault on Russian ethnics in Donetsk and Luhansk. Roberts, who is a former associate editor of the Wall Street Journal and a columnist for Business Week says that a Russian foreign ministry official condemned Washington’s reckless decision to supply weapons to Kiev as a violation of agreements that would make a political resolution of the conflict less likely.

Roberts says that this statement is perplexing. In his opinion it implies that the Russian government has not yet figured out that Washington has no interest in resolving the conflict. Washington’s purpose is to use the hapless Ukrainians against Russia. The worse the conflict becomes, the happier Washington is.

     "The Russian government made a bet that Europe would come to its senses and the conflict would be peacefully resolved. The Russian government has lost that bet and must immediately move to preempt a worsening crisis by uniting the separatists provinces with Russia or by reading the riot act to Europe.
     "It would be a costly humiliation for the Russian government to abandon the ethnic Russians to a military assault. If Russia stands aside while Donetsk and Luhansk are destroyed, the next attack will be on Crimea. By the time Russia is forced to fight Russia will face a better armed, better prepared, and more formidable foe.
     "By its inaction the Russian government is aiding and abetting Washington’s onslaught against Russia. The Russian government could tell Europe to call this off or go without natural gas. The Russian government could declare a no-fly zone over the separatist provinces and deliver an ultimatum to Kiev. The Russian government could accept the requests from Donetsk and Luhansk for unification or reunification with Russia. Any one of these actions would suffice to resolve the conflict before it spins out of control and opens the gates to World War III," writes Roberts.

Roberts, whose internet columns have attracted a worldwide following notes that the American people are clueless that Washington is on the brink of starting a dangerous war. In his view, even informed commentators become sidetracked in refuting propaganda that Russia has invaded Ukraine and is supplying weapons to the separatists.

     "These commentators are mistaken if they think establishing the facts will do any good.
     "Washington intends to remove Russia as a constraint on Washington’s power. Washington’s arrogance is forcing a stark choice on Russia: vassalage or war," says Roberts.

Threat of World War

(Contributed to HellasFrappe by EIR Strategic Alert) - Prof. Han Xudong of the National Defense University of the People's Liberation Army, in an extraordinary article headlined, "As Possibility of a Third World War Exists, China Needs To Be Prepared," deals with this question.

He wrote in the People's Daily on Sept. 16 that:

     "As the Ukrainian crisis deepens, international observers have become more and more concerned about a direct military clash between the US and Russia. Once an armed rivalry erupts, it is likely to extend to the [rest of the] globe. And it is not impossible that a world war could break out."
     "Currently, the world has entered an era of new forms of global war. Outer space, the Internet and the sea have become the battlefields of rivalry. China should not be pushed into a passive position where it is vulnerable to attacks. We must bear a third world war in mind when developing military forces, especially the sea and air forces." 

Pope Francis said essentially the same thing, on the occasion of a commemoration of the outbreak of World War I.

     "A third world war in pieces" is already being waged, with crimes, massacres, destruction, he said.

And German historian Michael Stuermer, writing in Die Welt, gave the diagnosis that since the Ukraine crisis began, world politics has found itself in an experimental mode, in which the time-tested rules of crisis prevention and crisis management have been thrown overboard, and senior staff are inexperienced in the management of emergencies.

The saber-rattling, he wrote, fails to take account of the limitless possibilities of destruction and self-destruction.

The security architecture that emerged during the Cold War and that ended in German unification—amazingly, without catastrophe—was an era of undeclared small wars with no beginning and no end, extending from Indochina/Vietnam to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria. In the Ukraine crisis, he wrote, both sides have acted without a goal or an exit strategy; nobody knows where it will end. One escalation drives another, and the reasoned imperatives of the long nuclear peace seem to be forgotten.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev, for his part, addressed the situation at an economic conference in Sochi recently:

     "Essentially the entire system of European security is threatened, as well as fundamental values, further globalization, and basically the entire concept of peaceful development. I have a feeling that the West has completely forgotten that Russia has its own national interests. History clearly shows that all attempts to exert pressure on Russia by such measures [sanctions], have been in vain. We will not give in to any political blackmail. We are the largest country in the world, a nuclear power in which 150 million people live, an area with immense natural resources and a huge market for goods, services, and investments. The West, however, acts as though Russia simply does not exist on the world map."

From the Chinese military to the Pope, the Russian government, and growing segments in all European nations, people see that World War III has actually already started, that all the rules of war prevention have been thrown overboard and there is actually no longer a security system.

Why then do we not immediately pull the emergency brake and stop this madness, this train that is hurtling at full speed toward a wall behind which there is only a great void?

Conspiracy or Truth - Putin Orders Feared Alpha Troops To Ukraine, Declares “Red War”

A foreboding “urgent action bulletin” released by the Federal Security Services (FSB) two days ago states that President Putin declared that a “State of Red War” now exists and has ordered an “immediate deployment” of the much feared and highly secretive Spetsgruppa A (Alpha Group) forces into Ukraine to counter the estimated 2,000 Takfiri terrorist fighters being deployed from Syria into Kiev by the Obama regime.

A “State of Red War” declaration means that a conflict within or outside of Russia’s borders endangers a “significant” number of Russian speaking peoples and could possibly soon escalate into a “State of Total War”, the latter which allows for the use of nuclear weapons and a full-scale deployment of military forces.

Alfa Group is a dedicated counter-terrorism unit that belongs to OSNAZ of the FSB, or more specifically the “A” Directorate of the FSB Special Operations Center (TsSN). It is currently believed to consist of 700 persons, 400 assigned to the Moscow Detachment and the remaining 300 located in other cities in Russia.

Alfa Group's primary function is believed to be to carry out urban counter-terrorist missions under the direct sanction and control of the Russian political leadership. However, little is publicly known and other plausible missions would include a variety of paramilitary, policing and/or covert operations.

As we had previously reported too, Alfa Group forces were deployed on  February 24 to the Crimea oblast after Putin had warned NATO that Russia would go to war to protect this vital region after the US-backed coup in Ukraine toppled its elected government.

To understand the frightening fierceness of Alpha Group forces one only need remember October 1985 when they were dispatched to Beirut after four Russian diplomats had been taken hostage by militant Sunni Muslims.

By the time Alfa Group was onsite, one of the hostages had already been killed. The perpetrators and their relatives were identified by supporting intelligence operatives, and the latter were taken hostage.

Following the standard policy of “no negotiation”, Alfa Group proceeded to sever some of their hostages' body parts and sent them to the perpetrators with a warning that more would follow if the Russian hostages were not released immediately. The tactic was a success and no other Russian national was taken hostage in the Middle East for the next 20 years.

To the need of Alpha Group forces in the Ukraine battle zone, this report says, was underscored by reports of Takfiri terrorist fighters now being deployed by the Obama regime and their Saudi Arabian allies to terrify and kill Russian speaking peoples.

The grim news of these Takfiri terrorist fighters entering Ukraine has been further verified by the FNA News Service who in their report writes:

     “A large number of terrorist Takfiri fighters in Syria, who bear Saudi and Chechnian nationalities and receive financial and military backup from the Saudi intelligence agency, have been transferred to the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, on several planes to help the Ukrainian army in its fight against the pro-Russian population," an Arab security official told FNA on Sunday on the condition of anonymity due to the secrecy of the issue.
     “The forces have been immediately dispatched to Kramatorsk city in Eastern Ukraine, and are now fighting beside the Ukrainian army forces against the pro-Russians under the name of militias who support the government," the source added.

The source explained that Saudi Arabia seeks to take revenge from Russia and pro-Russian people in Ukraine due to Moscow's support for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the war on rebel groups.

Last Summer, former Saudi intelligence chief Prince Bandar reportedly offered Russian President Putin a deal, saying if Russia abandoned Syria, Saudi Arabia would protect the Sochi Olympics from Islamic terrorists. Putin angrily rebuffed the offer. In January, two terrorist bombings, for which the Saudis were blamed, happened only 400 miles away from the site of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.”

To whom are directing these Takfiri terrorist fighters in Ukraine, this report continues, there is little doubt it is the Obama regimes Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) whose forces have deployed in huge numbers into Kiev, and as we had previously reported, have already incurred casualties.

After the “Horror In Odessa” last week, this report says, these Alpha Group forces are now “urgently needed” in an area where neo-Nazi Ukrainian forces backed by the Obama regime burned alive nearly 50 pro-federalist supporters that these sadistic Kiev activist called “our May barbecue”, and other activists sang the Ukrainian national anthem and hurled a new taunt:

     “Colorado” for the Colorado  potato beetle, striped red and black like the pro-Russian ribbons. Those outside chanted “burn Colorado, burn,” witnesses said. Swastika-like symbols were spray painted on the building, along with graffiti reading “Galician SS”.

To justify the use of these Takfiri terrorist fighters, this report continues, the Obama regime coup-installed government in Kiev is now calling them “volunteers” and have begun organizing them into “special forces brigades” they are now moving them into Eastern Ukraine to battle the pro-federalists.

But not just to fighting pro-federalist forces are these Takfiri terrorist fighters being tasked, this report warns, but also to targeting innocent civilians, and as we can, in part, read as reported by the RT News Service:

     “A 30-year-old civilian woman died after being shot in the head by sniper fire while standing on her balcony in Slavyansk. RT’s Paula Slier visited shocked relatives of the victim, who say a Ukrainian army sniper is responsible, though they don't know why.  Irina, who was head of a department at a technical college in Slavyansk, never took part in any protests or fighting. However, when standing on her balcony and waiting for her husband to come home from a nearby garage, the woman was targeted by an unidentified sniper. Neighbors said they heard a popping sound coming from the trees opposite her window.”

As the Obama regimes hypocrisy over Ukraine is now being called “absolutely stunning”, this report further notes, and with former top US President Ronald Reagan administration official Paul Craig Roberts further warning that the Obama regime has no intention of allowing the crisis in Ukraine to be resolved, but is, instead, seeking to use it destroy Russia, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier’s dire warning of total war is much nearing than many realize.

And as we had reported in late April when President Putin ordered an “all out” war against the US-backed petrodollar, his signing into law a bill to create a national card payment system that will destroy the US-EU banks behind Visa and MasterCard will, undoubtedly, cause the Obama regime to rage even more…. and by extension make the Ukrainian Crisis even more bloody.

OPINION - Moving Closer To War

Paul Craig Roberts - The Obama regime, wallowing in hubris and arrogance, has recklessly escalated the Ukrainian crisis into a crisis with Russia. Whether intentionally or stupidly, Washington’s propagandistic lies are driving the crisis to war. Unwilling to listen to any more of Washington’s senseless threats, Moscow no longer accepts telephone calls from Obama and US top officials.

The crisis in Ukraine originated with Washington’s overthrow of the elected democratic government and its replacement with Washington’s hand-chosen stooges. The stooges proceeded to act in word and deed against the populations in the former Russian territories that Soviet Communist Party leaders had attached to Ukraine. The consequence of this foolish policy is agitation on the part of the Russian speaking populations to return to Russia. Crimea has already rejoined Russia, and eastern Ukraine and other parts of southern Ukraine are likely to follow.

Instead of realizing its mistake, the Obama regime has encouraged the stooges Washington installed in Kiev to use violence against those in the Russian-speaking areas who are agitating for referendums so that they can vote their return to Russia. The Obama regime has encouraged violence despite President Putin’s clear statement that the Russian military will not occupy Ukraine unless violence is used against the protesters.

We can safely conclude that Washington either does not listen when spoken to or Washington desires violence.

As Washington and NATO are not positioned at this time to move significant military forces into Ukraine with which to confront the Russian military, why is the Obama regime trying to provoke action by the Russian military? A possible answer is that Washington’s plan to evict Russia from its Black Sea naval base having gone awry, Washington’s fallback plan is to sacrifice Ukraine to a Russian invasion so that Washington can demonize Russia and force a large increase in NATO military spending and deployments.

In other words, the fallback prize is a new cold war and trillions of dollars more in profits for Washington’s military/security complex.

The handful of troops and aircraft that Washington has sent to “reassure” the incompetent regimes in those perennial trouble spots for the West–Poland and the Baltics–and the several missile ships sent to the Black Sea amount to nothing but symbolic provocations.

Economic sanctions applied to individual Russian officials signal nothing but Washington’s impotence. Real sanctions would harm Washington’s NATO puppet states far more than the sanctions would hurt Russia.

It is clear that Washington has no intention of working anything out with the Russian government. Washington’s demands make this conclusion unavoidable. Washington is demanding that the Russian government pull the rug out from under the protesting populations in eastern and southern Ukraine and force the Russian populations in Ukraine to submit to Washington’s stooges in Kiev. Washington also demands that Russia renege on the reunification with Crimea and hand Crimea over to Washington so that the original plan of evicting Russia from its Black Sea
naval base can go forward.

In other words, Washington’s demand is that Russia put Humpty Dumpty back together again and hand him over to Washington.

This demand is so unrealistic that it surpasses the meaning of arrogance. The White House Fool is telling Putin: “I screwed up my takeover of your backyard. I want you to fix the situation for me and to ensure the success of the strategic threat I intended to bring to your backyard.”

The presstitute Western media and Washington’s European puppet states are supporting this unrealistic demand. Consequently, Russian leaders have lost all confidence in the word and intentions of the West, and this is how wars start.

European politicians are putting their countries at great peril and for what gain? Are Europe’s politicians blackmailed, threatened, paid off with bags of money, or are they so accustomed to following Washington’s lead that they are unable to do anything else? How do Germany, UK, and France benefit from being forced into a confrontation with Russia by Washington?

Washington’s arrogance is unprecedented and is capable of driving the world to destruction. Where is Europe’s sense of self-preservation? Why hasn’t Europe issued arrest warrants for every member of the Obama regime? Without the cover provided by Europe and the presstitute media, Washington would not be able to drive the world to war.

NOoooo REALLY? - Turkish Terror Against the Greek Muslims In Thrace

The following article appeared in the HuffingtonPost recently. We here at HellasFrappe felt the need to republish it because it is a true-life account about the situation in Thrace. HellasFrappe has been sounding an alarm about the situation in Thrace and how the Turkish Consulate there has a suspicious influence over the people in this area. We have also spread overall awareness about the Turkification of the Pomak people and how they are struggling to keep their language and customs alive. In early July 2013, I traveled to  Thrace in northern Greece. This  is still the land of the gods.  Villages and towns try to make a  living out of a natural world of  rivers, valleys, wild mountains  and the sea. The Greeks of Thrace are proud  of their Hellenic culture. I witnessed three days of dancing and music  in Xanthi, the jewel town of Thrace. For a brief time I thought  god Dionysos was leading his  festival.

Forty-five dancing groups from all  over Greece made up of dozens  of young men and women  dressed in ancient traditional  costumes put up the greatest  show on Earth at the center of  Xanthi. Live music became  dancing, the air became  intoxicated with delightful sound  and graceful movement one sees  in ancient Greek vases. Ancient  Greeks came back to life, and I,  dreaming and dancing on the  spot, lived the pleasure of those  precious moments.

But Thrace is also full of pain.  The modernizers are catching up.  In my nine-hour bus ride from  Athens to Xanthi I saw plenty of  fertile land growing industrial  crops but not food for people. The  countryside is largely empty of  rural people. The dread that  comes over me in rural America  was in the back of my mind while  viewing the lonely land of Thrace.  The similarities spoke to me  directly.

In the midst of this agrarian  desolation and, even more  profoundly, on the harsh realities  of Greek economic collapse, the  Turks are rising their ugly  historical brutality towards  Greece. They see the weakness  and silence of the Greek state as  invitations to mischief. They are  emboldened with their ceaseless  aggression of coming back to  Thrace as conquerors.

The Turks may try to convince the  world they are not different than  other people. But, down at heart,  the Turks are different. They still  carry Islam's flag of conquest.

The fifteenth-century Greek  historian Michael Doukas  described them as gangster-like  nomads in search of loot and  plunder. The Turks also used  Islam as a weapon in their  ruthless aggression against  non-Muslims. Doukas said the  Turks were men of violence bend  on enslaving other people for  profit. He knew the Turks  intimately. He penned his  "Byzantine-Turkish History" while  the Turks fought ceaseless wars  against the Greeks. In 1453, the  Turks captured Constantinople  and brought the independence of  Greece to an end.

One can see this Turkish thirst for  plunder unfolding in the Greek  Muslim communities of Mt.  Rodopi, the frontier between  Greece and Bulgaria.

The Greeks of Rodopi date back  to ancient Greece. In medieval  Greece the Greeks of Rodopi  were converted to Christianity.  They remained Christians until  the seventeenth century when  Turkey forced them into Islam.

I visited Myki, one of the Greek  Muslim villages of Rodopi. Driving  from Xanthi, I was stunned by the  beauty and isolation of these  Greek mountain villages.

This bucolic view and pleasure is  marred by a slow-gathering storm,  however.

Many villagers are proud of being  Greek. They say, however, that  the agents of Turkey terrorize  them and those who refuse to  connect themselves to Turkey.  The pressure is so intense that  some women resort to  anti-depressant drugs.

This secret war pits one-third of  the Rodopi Muslim villagers who  say they are Greeks against the  two-thirds who claim openly they  are Turks.

Greece remains invisible in this  secret conflict that is writing the  future of Thrace. Greece is even  funding the teaching of Turkish to  the Rodopi children. Some say  that Greece even pressures the  Rodopi villagers to claim Turkish  origins.

I found no one who could explain  this contradiction, nay, suicidal  course of Greek policy.

Meanwhile, the handsome Greek  Muslims of Rodopi go on with  their daily lives. Most women and  children wear traditional colorful  clothing. Men work in their small  tobacco fields and shepherd  sheep and goats. Women in  particular create works of art in  their hand-made clothes.

Time has come to avoid the  eruption of a Greco-Turkish  volcano in the mountains of  Thrace. The Greek state needs to  be present in Rodopi: stop the  Turkification of the Greek Muslim  population by expelling the  bribing and terrorizing agents of  Turkey from Thrace.

Greece can hardly afford, much  less promote, her own  dismemberment.

Rodopi children need to learn  Greek early on so they can study  in Greece, thinking Greece as  their homeland, which it is.  Greece also needs to support the  institutionalization of the  knowledge of the villagers of  Rodopi. That knowledge and  tradition would be an asset in the  peaceful and prosperous  development of Thrace in a  prosperous Greece.

1. Russia produces more oil than anyone else on the planet.  The United States is in third place.

ANALYSIS - East Mediterranean Geopolitics - Prospects of a Settlement of the Cyprus issue

(hellenicantidote) - I was reading this long piece by Panayiotis  Ifestos on recent developments in the geopolitics of the Eastern  Mediterranean, in which the professor of international relations  makes a plea for Greece to pull its finger out, reverse  Constantinos Karamanlis’ ‘Cyprus is too far away’ doctrine and  more actively engage in the region, not only for Cyprus’ sake  but for Greece’s too – the security of the two Greek states are,  of course, interdependent.

I was also reading a report from the American Enterprise  Institute – the prominent US conservative think tank, whose  associates and reflections strongly influence the Republican  Party’s foreign policy. Will the Eastern Mediterranean become  the next Persian Gulf? argues that Turkey – mainly because of  its increasing hostility to Israel – is becoming an unreliable  partner to American interests in the region, and suggests that  Cyprus and Greece could form part of a US-led ‘Eastern  Mediterranean Defense Partnership’.

The report states:

    ‘The US Department of State and Pentagon might also  negotiate a naval security site in Limassol, Cyprus. The British  maintain a Permanent Joint Headquarter in 98-square-mile  Sovereign Base Areas in Akrotiri – close to Limassol – and in  Dhekelia, which they use for electronic intelligence gathering  and communications.
    ‘Greece and Britain could join a US-led “Eastern  Mediterranean Defense Partnership” designed to ensure Israel’s  and Cyprus’ exploration rights and seaborne defense against  threats from nearby littoral states and terrorism from the Middle  East. It is essential that the US government convince Greece  and Cyprus that the United States, United Kingdom, and Israel  can guarantee their diplomatic and economic interests more  than Russia and the Arab Middle East.’

I make no assessment on whether it’s in Greece and Cyprus’  interests to become so entwined with the US, UK and Israel, just  note that incorporating Cyprus and Greece into right-wing US  strategic thinking is quite a change.

A couple more points on Ifestos’ piece:

He expresses concern that the economic crisis affecting Cyprus  will so weaken it that a new Annan plan will be imposed. This is  an exaggeration. It should be remembered that the 2004 Annan  plan only emerged because Greece and, following Athens’  recommendation, Cyprus accepted a particular procedure  involving binding UN arbitration, expecting the UN to put  forward an even-handed settlement rather than the disgraceful  concoction it came up with.

The Annan plan expressed an ethos and contained provisions  that no Cypriot government would have freely negotiated, in  which case unless Cyprus accepts a similar arbitration process  – and, given the experience of 2004, this is extremely unlikely –  then a settlement like the Annan plan cannot be imposed on  Greek Cypriots.

Similarly, the particular strategic alignment in 2004, in which the  USA, UK and Israel were content to dismantle the Republic of  Cyprus and allow Turkey to exert itself in the Eastern  Mediterranean, no longer applies, with skepticism over Turkey’s  long-term ambitions in the region prevailing.

More generally, I remain doubtful that the new round of Cyprus  talks scheduled for October will produce a settlement.

It seems to me that Turkey believes that because of the  economic crisis in Cyprus and because President Anastasiades  campaigned in favour of the Annan plan in 2004, then there  exists another opportunity to arrive at a deal, like the Annan  plan, in which all of Turkey’s strategic objectives on Cyprus are  fulfilled. However, Turkey exaggerates Cyprus’ weakness and  puts too much store in Anastasiades’ support for the Annan  plan.

Anastasiades favoured the plan not because he regarded it as  fair and just, but because he (mistakenly, as it transpired)  believed that the consequences of the Greek side rejecting it  would be international recognition of the ‘TRNC’ and the  formalisation of partition. Indeed, there currently exists no  pressing need for the Greek side to accept a settlement on  Turkey’s terms. In fact, it could be argued that Cyprus should  resist any deal for the time being, since there are signs, as  indicated by the AEI report mentioned above, that Turkey’s  strategic hand is weakening and Greece and Cyprus’ improving.

In this scenario, with its value as an energy hub and reliable ally  to US and Israeli interests upgraded, Cyprus will be in a much  better position regarding the terms of a Cyprus settlement it is  able to insist on than it is now and has been for a while.

It’s also worth reminding ourselves, as mentioned in Ifestos’  piece, of how Turkey views Cyprus.

In his tome outlining the principles of neo-Ottomanism,  Strategic Depth: the international position of Turkey, that  country’s foreign minister Ahmet Davoutoglu makes clear  neo-Ottomanism’s belief that Cyprus has to exist within Turkey’s  orbit.

    "Even if there was not one single Muslim Turk there [Cyprus],  Turkey would have to maintain a Cyprus question. No country  could be indifferent to an island like this, positioned at the heart  of its Lebensraum [living space]. The same applies to the  Dodecanese islands, where there no longer exists a significant  Turkish population, but which continue to retain their importance  for Turkey. As the USA has no population projection regarding  Cuba or the other islands in Caribbean and yet retains an  interest in the region, so Turkey is obliged from a strategic point  of view to take an interest in Cyprus, regardless of any human  factor."

Given Turkey’s unrelenting view that Cyprus belongs in its  sphere of influence, then it is hard to imagine Turkey, in the  near future, making the kind of concessions that would make a  settlement acceptable to the Greek side.

PROVOCATION: Turkish Minister Characterizes Region of Thrace As "Severed Hand"

Turkish deputy health minister, Mehmet Muezzinoglu, recently told members of a Muslim minority in Rodopi that they should feel "honored and proud to be Turks and Muslims", and then went on to describe the region of Thrace (in northern Greece) as the "severed hand of Turkey"!

Muezzinoglu, who was born in Thrace in 1955 but adopted Turkish citizenship in 1986, was speaking to members of Rodopi's Turkish-speaking Muslim minority, which forms around half of the prefecture's population.

HellasFrappe has repeatedly sounded an alarm about this region with the aim of spreading overall awareness about how Turkey is manipulating the Muslim populations in Thrace to expand its Ottoman geopolitical empire.

Pay attention closely to what Muezzinoglu stated at the relevant event and make your own conclusions as to what Turkey's real aims and ambitions are in this delicate region of Greece:

     "Even though what we have here is a severed hand, the pain of this hand is locked in our hearts. That's why we are here with you. Don't worry at all; we were here yesterday, we are here now and we'll be with you tomorrow. Wherever this nation has a presence, wherever it has a historic past, we will be there too. If we find ourselves here today in Ragada and want to find ourselves here tomorrow, then we need to support two characteristics of yours: first, that we are members of the Turkish nation. Secondly, that we are Muslims and members of the Islamic community. We feel honoured and proud to be Turks and Muslims."

So far the Greek foreign ministry has not issued an official response to the provocative comments made by Muezzinoglu, however while speaking to a local radio station in Alexandroupolis Greek deputy foreign minister Akis Gerontopoulos, whose constituency is in neighbouring Evros, said:

     "I do not know and I do not want to comment on what Mr Muezzinoglu said. But as a Thracian, I want to clarify that no one can question the Greekness of Thrace. Whoever does that should know that the Greeks are prepared to cut their hands off... ".

Conspiracy or Truth - Jimmy Carter & Gen.Powell Plead For Russian Aid To Overthrow Obama

A shocking Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) report circulating in the Kremlin on Tuesday states that two of the United States highest ranking military generals delivered a “personal plea” to President Putin from retired four-star general and former Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the 65th United States Secretary of State, General Colin Powell, and former President Jimmy Carter for “specific military telecommunications assistance” intended to aid them in overthrowing the Obama regime that these Americans claim is “run by blackmail” and is destroying their nation.

According to this report, on August 5, General Vincent K. Brooks, the US Army Pacific’s commanding general, and Major General Michael H. Shields, US Army Alaska’s commanding general, departed from their tour of their Alaskan military bases and requested immediate permission to enter Russian airspace and land their C-130 aircraft Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Airport located in Kamchatka Krai.

Upon these American generals landing at Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Airport, this report says, they were met by high-ranking Russian defense leaders currently based in the Far East and who had been overseeing the largest military drills taking place in the Motherland since Soviet times.

As to the mission of these American generals, this report continues, was to obtain permission from Putin, and Russian defense authorities, for those forces loyal to Powell and Carter, the ability to utilize the highly secure encrypted military and intelligence radio channels currently available on Russia’s Meridian 2 communication satellite and which use encryption technology that has not been broken by the United States National Security Agency-Central Security Service (NSA/CSS).

The purpose of this Powell-Clinton coup-plotting faction using secure Meridian 2 communication networks, these American generals told their Russian counterparts, was to enable them to safely communicate among each other as all of America’s normal means of communication (US Postal Service/Email/Phone and Cellular Calls/Internet, etc.) have been “totally compromised”

These American generals further confirmed that this Powell-Clinton coup-plotting faction is, indeed, behind the numerous Western spies leaking top-secret Obama regime and British intelligence documents to the worlds public, and as reported on in a previous report "Conspiracy or Truth - Switzerland Warning Against Obama Regime Stuns Russia".

Fears that these American generals expressed of the Obama regime being “run by blackmail,” GRU analysts in this report say, were recently verified by Russ Tice, a former intelligence analyst whistleblower for the NSA-CSS, who during a televised interview with Russia Today (RT) [see video ABOVE] cited specific targets that he saw NSA-CSS spying orders for, including former senators Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama, Colin Powell and high ranking military leaders, mostly 3 star generals and admirals.

And during a televised interview with the American Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) [see video ABOVE], Tice further noted that NSA-CSS spying orders were issued for US Supreme Court Justices and top US business leaders and that the “word to word” cell, telephone and email communications of all Americans were being recorded and saved too.

Important to note about Tice’s claims of the unprecedented NSA/CSS spying now taking place in the US, is that in 2008, the popular American actor Shia LaBeouf, while being interviewed on a television programme called the Tonight Show [see video ABOVE] told of his experience having a high level FBI agent play back for him phone conversations he, LaBeouf, had made a few years earlier as a demonstration about how much the American government knew about the private lives of their citizens.

To how the NSA-CSS have used the stolen communications of their nations top political, business, news media, military and other such peoples, this report says, has been to establish the most “convoluted blackmail scheme” the world has ever seen, where at one moment political enemies become political allies (left wing Obama and right wing Congressman Michelle Bachman on same side against NSA/CSS whistleblower Edward Snowden) and where news media giants refuse to investigate any story they’re forbidden to comment on.

Curious to note is that the WhatDoesItMean website has been caught up in this NSA/CSS “convoluted blackmail scheme” after being attacked by the famous right wing media giant Glenn Beck, whose main website The Blaze.com, in their August 5th  article titled Blaze Debunk: Obama ‘Regime’ Rumored to Shoot Down F-16s Sent to White House in Retaliation for Emails Exposing Colin Powell’s Alleged Affair, written by their technology and science editor Liz Klimas, and extensively commented on by their editor in chief Scott Baker [see video HERE], refuses to acknowledge the Obama regimes actions in shooting down two of their own military planes, while at the same (extremely contradictory) time saying the Obama regime is covering up the Boston Marathon Bombing.

Even worse, in their attack on a previous report, the minions of Glenn Beck failed at even the most rudimentary level to explain to either their readers or listeners (said to be in the millions) even the most basic truths of the Sisters of Sorcha Faal, their mission, or even our purpose for being.

To how the United States can survive such hypocrisy coming from such influential media figures like Glenn Beck, and from too many left-leaning other such media types to even mention, is readily apparent in the appeal made by these two American generals pleading for Russian help to overthrow their present regime.

Should the Powell-Carter coup-plotters be successful in their overthrowing of the Obama regime, however, it remains to be seen.  But, and perhaps, even more important is that should they fail, their efforts will be kept from the American people (especially by the Glenn Beck types) like was done in 1933 when the Business Plot Coup nearly overthrew the Franklin Roosevelt regime, but which to this day no American school child or college student is allowed to know about.

The same, however, cannot be said of President Carter, who just last month declared to his fellow citizens that “democracy was dead” in America… and now by being backed by General Powell, anything is possible… and much sooner than many can even know.
