The Parliamentary Ethics Committee on Monday summoned independent MPs Odysseas Voudouris and Theodoros Parastatidis over their insinuation that some members of parliament have received bribes.
The two MPs recently released a statement that suggested that MPs received bribes to vote for Stavros Dimas in the Presidential elections. In the statement they did not name any names, but Greek press reports claim that the allegations refer to Grigoris Psarianos, Christos Aidonis, Spyros Lykoudis and Giorgos Davris.
On their part the four MPs have reacted fiercly to the accusations and warned that they are going to take the necessary legal steps so that their reputations are not soiled.
Following all the turmoil they caused Voudouris and Parastatidis said that their statement was misinterpreted and that it was not their intention to depreciate their colleagues.
