The new metro station Aghia Marina, located in the Aghia Varvara municipality (western Athens), is due to open its doors on Saturday and serve an estimated 30,000 passengers everyday. From here -blue Line 3–, commuters will be able to reach Syntagma Square in no more than 9 minutes and the Athens airport in just 40 minutes!
The station will eventually have park and ride facilities for 380 cars. Construction of the station was completed in February.
