Unionists At Corfu Hospital Violently Attack Inspectors - Now Face Suspension (VIDEO)

It is about time the State cracks down on unjustifiable absences that occur every single day in the Greek state sector. These workers deserve to be fired, and sued for violently harassing two people who were just doing their jobs, and these unionists also need to be slapped with heavy fines -and or jailed- for refusing the state to inspect if they are actually doing their jobs!

When several state inspectors visited the Corfu Hospital on Thursday in order to see who was unjustifiably absent from work that day, they never expected to be threatened by workers and unionists and violently harassed. According to press reports, unionists were captured on video threatening the inspectors and then trapping them in a room to prevent them from doing their job!

On Friday morning, Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis said that unionists are now going to face suspension. Speaking on SKAI, he said that the health service doesn't want people like that, "it doesn't need them and it doesn't want them."

The Minister also noted that the incident, was an isolated phenomenon, noting that another 40 or so inspections at other hospitals across Greece had been completed without such problems.
