A 13-year-old boy actually admitted to killing his 4 and 8 year-old nephews by pushing them into an irrigation canal in the prefecture of Ilia (located in the Peloponnese). The young boy is presently being examined by a psychologist before a prosecutor determines whether or not he will face criminal charges.
The 13-year-old, whose sister was the mother of the two boys, apparently told officials that he was jealous of the two victims because they received more attention than he did from the family.
The suspect admitted that his sister sent him in search of the two siblings who were late returning from an errand, when he came across them beside the canal. The suspect allegedly pushed the 8-year-old into the canal first and then he went on 0to shove the smaller boy in the same area as well.
Police officials, who are in total dismay with this case, say that the 4 year-old clung onto a shirt tied around his uncle’s waist before being thrown to into the water, where both he and his older brother drowned.
Authorities discovered the shirt near the boys’ bodies on Thursday, and immediately concluded that there was foul play.
