"The arbitrary and barbaric actions of the government and forces of repression do not frighten or dismay us; on the contrary, they strengthen our struggle and steel our resolve for our Constitutional right to work, to public television, to institutions and the demand for democracy and freedom," POSPERT said in a statement. The union then went on to accuse police officials of brutality against citizens -and especially against the journalist Eva Mavrogeni- whom they claim has suffered injuries and who were detained for 20 hours for demonstrating against the government's non-compliance with the rulings of the Council of State.
