Police Combing Trikala To Find Jail breakers

Police officials are combing the mountainous areas in the prefectures of Nafpaktia, Fokida and Viotia in an effort to sniff out several escaped convicts who broke out of a prison in Trikala. The convicts are said to be dangerous and have already been accused, among other things, of murdering a police officer in Distomo.

Reports claim that authorities traced the whereabouts of the five escaped convicts from the G-3 weapon they used (and which was stolen from police officials in Distomo) as well as reports of the stolen car they used which was spotted in Fokida and Viotia.

In fact officials believe that the convicts know these regions very well. They have enough gorges, forests and caves that make them ideal for those wanting to hide from the law.
