The relatives of former Finance Minister George Papakonstantinou informed the parliamentary inquiry into the controversial Lagarde list probe that they are not going to appear for questioning.
Lawyers representing Papakonstantinou’s two cousins and their husbands, whose names were allegedly deleted from the Lagarde list of depositors, apparently wrote to the committee and said that they have already responded to questions from financial prosecutors and have nothing more to add.
In their testimony, they insisted that the money they had deposited at the Geneva branch of HSBC had been fully declared.
