A Greek-German conference titled "Memory Culture Youth and Cooperation" was held at the weekend in Paramythia, Thesprotia where a local high school student by the name of Christina Liolios literally left the participants in complete awe. In fact her statement was so profound that it even motivated the German participants to applaud!
"You want to leave us with no income and no future, and to not forget the crimes of the occupation."
The conference, which concentrated on the region's historical heritage and natural wealth, was jointly organized by the municipality Souli in collaboration with the Friedrich-Ebert Foundation, the Office of Greek-German cooperation (DGV in Thessaloniki) and the German Consulate General in Thessaloniki.
