Olympiakos won the Euroleague on Sunday night in what some describe as being a truly electrifying game. Moscow's CSKA was leading the game 53-34 midway through the third quarter and most began to believe that Olympiakos would not make a comeback. Nonetheless the red team played with heart and soul and made an amazing fightback and at 0.7 seconds before the end of the game Gergios Printezis made a slam dunk giving Olympiakos a 62-61 win. Led by Serbian coach Dusan Ivkovic, the Greek outfit upset 2010 winners Barcelona in the semis before overpowering six-times winners CSKA. Vassilis Spanoulis was named the tournament's most valuable player. For Ivkovic, it was a gratifying finale as he won the second Euroleague title with Olympiakos after guiding them to their first success in Europe's elite competition in 1997.
