Dubbed as the new Rocky Balboa, Donovan “Da Bomb” George is currently training and promoting his upcoming 10-round super middleweight showdown against fellow top-rated contender Edwin “La Bomba” Rodriguez (20-0, 14KO’s).The fight is scheduled to take place at the Madison Square Garden on March 17 and is to be televised in over 180 countries courtesy of HBO. The expatriate boxer has an amazing record of 28 wins, only 4 defeats and 25 knock outs! Donovan “Da Bomb” George was born in Chicago and follows the footsteps of his father Peter George, who was also a champion in the same event. Today the veteran boxer serves as an officer for the Chicago police force and also coaches his son. “Da Bomb's” grandfather is from Cyprus and his grandmother originates from Tripoli in the Peloponnese. This Greek-American emphasizes his love for Greece everywhere he goes, and he recently noted in an interview that he wants to win the upcoming middleweight showdown and dedicate it to Greece and the Greeks all over the world!
