Another earthquake occurred at 3:33 am on Friday morning, less than 24 hours after a similar quake rocked the area between Crete and Santorini island.The quake was measured at 5.3 on the Richter scale and its epicenter was reported to be located 254 kilometers southeast of Athens, 71 km west of Heraklion and 101 km east of Chania, while it had a depth of 8.9 km. The Institute of Geodynamics, the National Observatory of Athens and the Geophysical Laboratory of Aristotle University Thesaloniki are keeping a close eye on this new wave of seismic activity. No injuries or damages were reported.
