The Cultural Memory as Updated Site-specific Experience (otherwise known as the C-Muse) is apparently the winner of the 2014 excellence in innovation and entrepreneurship awards of the National Hellenic Research Foundation, the General Secretariat of Research & Development and the General Secretariat for Youth.

So what is C-Muse?

It is a digital application, especially designed for three archaeological sites of the city of Athens, the Acropolis, Kerameikos, and the ancient Agora, which gives visitors a complete guiding tour of the sites but also provides a unique simulation experience of life in ancient Greece. Visitors can actually listen to Pericles' Funeral Oration (Epitafios) or to ceramists bargaining with their clients!

The app is based on an idea by Dimitris Vergados, Konstantino Tampouri and Elftheria Komi.
