FYROM gets taste of its own medicine- Albanian ultra-nationalists begin patrols

The self-proclaimed “Guard of the Republic of Ilirida” announced recently that it began patrolling the areas where “Albanian people live”, while they did not hesitate to also state that “Albanian territory will not be left without protection”. Looks like FYROM nationals are getting a taste of their own medicine, and are about to start experiencing problems from their large Albanian minority.

More exactly, the group, made up of Albanian radicals, proclaimed the so-called “Rebublic of Ilirida” on September 18, in front of the statue of Skanderbeg in Skopje. During that event they said that FYROM covers the area from Struga to Kumanovo.

A press release that was released last weekend in FYROM says that the headquarters of the “Guard” will be active throughout the territory of the “Republic of Ilirida”, and that security will be formed in cities which they consider belong to “the republic”.
“The aim of the Guard will be confrontation with people who sold Albanian national interest. Republic of Ilirida, together with its guard is a reality now and will act in accordance with its new law, or temporary laws until the final status of the territory is resolved in accordance with Geneva Convention,” says the organization.
The statement, signed by “general Hamdi Ndrecaj – Panteri” asks citizens to “be polite” when “the Guard” executes commands, because it will benefit to the citizens of the “Republic of Ilirida”, regardless of their national, religious or racial affiliation.

Note that he does not recognize FYROM, but pledges allegiance to the Republic of Ilirida (or the Greater Albania).

The news, might make some Greeks smile because FYROM had it coming, but let us not forget, that there are plenty of Albanian ultra-nationalists who would like nothing better than to do the same in Greece.
