RESURRECTION OF GREEK AUTO INDUSTRY - Pony Car To Once Again Hit The Roads

The legendary Greek ‘Pony’ car(or poor man's jeep) is ready to hit the roads again and resurrect the Greek automotive industry. The company NAMCO of the Kontogavri family from Thessaloniki which, from 1972 to 1983, manufactured some 8 to 10 cars a day announced that it is preparing to launch the popular car brand again, with a brand new design and with all the required specifications based on modern technology.

According to reports in Athens, the goal is to increase the production to about 24 new-type Pony's a day (meaning that new jobs will be created). The car design is undergoing final tests and, if all goes well, the plans are going to soon be submitted to Greece's Ministry of Transport (for the "unfortunate" final red tape approval).
