Loutraki Casino Closes Down Temporarily Due To Ongoing Workers Strike

The management of the Club Hotel Casino Loutraki announced that it is not going to be able to continue operating on account of an ongoing strike from its employees. In an announcement, the management explained that as soon as it can overcome its problems, it will resume operations as soon as possible.

The Hellenic Federation of Gaming Employee Unions (OSETYP) responded to the announcement and argued that “the casino management’s actions constitute a lockout, citing the ‘so-called’ exhaustion of employees who are not participating in the strike actions”.

In any case, the fate of the casino is to be determined over the next few fays, as the Gaming Commission decides upon the Casino's 40-million-euro capital share increase.

The Club Hotel Casino Loutraki is located in the city of Loutraki, northern Peloponnisos, and open 24/7. The casino's 53,820 square foot gaming space features more than 749 gaming machines as well as at least 82 table and poker games. The property also has seven restaurants, two bars and even a hotel with 275 rooms. It is a popular resort for gaming enthusiasts and always busy throughout the year because it is a short distance from Athens.
