Outbreak of Deadly Disease In Australia South Wales State

It is called Murray Valley encephalitis, it is very rare, it can infect humans, it is deadly and it has been found among chickens in Australia's New South Wales State, in the first appearance since the 1970s. The population in the areas infected in this State and the State of Victoria is being warned to protect itself.

Murray Valley encephalitis is more commonly found in north-western Australia but has been seen before in the south-east after rainfall. It is a mosquito-borne disease and has been found in birds which were placed in high-risk areas - part of Australia's early warning system. High-risk areas for humans are wetlands and areas near rivers. The insect in question is the common banded mosquito, Culux annulirostris.

The symptoms of the disease are similar to meningitis and include a temperature and severe headache, stiffness of the neck, confusion and sleepiness, photophobia, nausea and vomiting. Symptoms last for a few days usually and the patient makes a full recovery. Only one per cent of those infected feel the symptoms, and a small percentage of these die. There is no specific treatment - patients with severe symptoms are treated in hospital, sometimes in Intensive Care Units.

Local sources point towards the outbreak among flocks of chickens in the southern and western regions of the Australian State of New South Wales. The "sentinel" chicken flocks had been strategically placed as part of an early warning system within easy reach of the NSW border town of Moama and the town of Echuca in the State of Victoria.

Codex Alimentarius Used As A Weapon? (VIDEO)

The Codex Alimentarius (Latin for "Book of Food") is a collection of internationally recognized standards, codes of practice, guidelines and other recommendations relating to foods, food production and food safety. Its texts are developed and maintained by the Codex Alimentarius Commission, a body that was established in 1963 by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO). 

The Commission's main aims are stated as being to protect the health of consumers and ensure fair practices in the international food trade. The Codex Alimentarius is recognized by the World Trade Organization as an international reference point for the resolution of disputes concerning food safety and consumer protection.

The controversy over the Codex Alimentarius relates to a perception that it is a mandatory standard for the safety of food, including vitamin and mineral supplements. Supporters of the Codex Alimentarius say that it is a voluntary reference standard for food and that there is no obligation on countries to adopt Codex standards as a member of either Codex or any other international trade organization. From the point of view of its opponents, however, one of the main causes of concern is that the Codex Alimentarius is recognized by the World Trade Organization as an international reference standard for the resolution of disputes concerning food safety and consumer protection. Proponents argue that the use of Codex Alimentarius during international disputes does not exclude the use of other references or scientific studies as evidence of food safety and consumer protection.

It is reported that in 1996 the German delegation put forward a proposal that no herb, vitamin or mineral should be sold for preventive or therapeutic reasons, and that supplements should be reclassified as drugs. The proposal was agreed, but protests halted its implementation. The 28th Session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission was subsequently held July 4–9, 2005.[5] Among the many issues discussed were the "Guidelines for Vitamin and Mineral Food Supplements",[6] which were adopted during the meeting as new global safety guidelines.This text has been the subject of considerable controversy among proponents of dietary supplements, because many countries regulate such substances as therapeutic goods or pharmaceuticals or by some other category, without actually requiring them to be shown to be at all medically useful. The text does not seek to ban supplements, but subjects them to labeling and packaging requirements, sets criteria for the setting of maximum and minimum dosage levels, and requires that safety and efficacy are considered when determining ingredient sources. The United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and World Health Organization (WHO) have stated that the guidelines are "to stop consumers overdosing on vitamin and mineral food supplements." The Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) has said that the guidelines call "for labelling that contains information on maximum consumption levels of vitamin and mineral food supplements." The WHO has also said that the Guidelines "ensure that consumers receive beneficial health effects from vitamins and minerals." 

Similarities have been noted between the EU's Food Supplements Directive and the Codex Alimentarius Guidelines for Vitamin and Mineral Supplements.

Texas Republican Rep. Ron Paul has said that the Central American Free Trade Agreement "increases the possibility that Codex regulations will be imposed on the American public." 

Additional controversy has been expressed by proponents of ecologically and socially sustainable agriculture and food systems, such as the Slow Food movement, who view the Codex Alimentarius as antithetical to this goal. According to the Manifesto on the Future of Food, the Codex Alimentarius has "codified policies designed to serve the interest of global agribusiness above all others, while actively undermining the rights of farmers and consumers".

Russian Move Against US Described As "First Shot" of WWIII

A shocking report prepared for Russian Prime Minister Putin warned on Wednesday that the decision by Iran to cease taking US Dollars for its oil could very be the “first shot” fired in World War III, and one which Russia will be blamed for by the Obama regime. According to the report, Iran swiftly countered planed US sanctions against its Central Bank by announcing that it will no longer accept the US Dollar as payment for its oil shipments to India, Japan and China and further announced that bilateral trade between itself and Russia will, also, break from the US Dollar for settlement in favor of the Iranian Rial and Russian Rubles. Sure to enrage the Obama regime, this report continues, was that the proposal to switch to the Ruble and the Rial was raised by President Medvedev at a meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in Astana, Kazakhstan, of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Though Iran had previously announced in 2008 that it had stopped trading its oil for US Dollars (Ahmadinejad called the depreciating US Dollar a “worthless piece of paper”) India, Japan and China were made exempt due to their large holdings of American currency and fears of wreaking further chaos on the global economic collapse that had just begun.

Important to note, this report reminds us, is that a similar move by Iraq’s former leader Saddam Hussein in not accepting US Dollars for oil in 2000 brought about the invasion of his country by the Americans and their European allies resulting in his eventual execution and causing the vast wealth of Iraqi oil and gas fields to be turned over to the Western oil giants.

Likewise, this report says, former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi earned the same fate as Hussein after he, in the months leading up to the US-NATO military attack on his country, called on African and Muslim nations to join together to create a new currency that would rival the US Dollar and Euro and saying that Libya would only sell oil and other resources around the world only for gold dinars.

Most oil sales throughout the world are denominated in US Dollars, and according to proponents of the petrodollar warfare hypothesis, because most countries rely on oil imports, they are forced to maintain large stockpiles of Dollars in order to continue imports.

This creates a consistent demand for US Dollars and upwards pressure on its value, regardless of economic conditions in the United States. This in turn allows the US government to gain revenues through seignorage and by issuing bonds at lower interest rates than they otherwise would be able to. As a result the US government can run higher budget deficits at a more sustainable level than can most other countries. But, this report reminds us, the current budget deficit of the US has now reached the staggering amount of $15.23 trillion which is the size of its entire economy, and with the Federal Reserve preparing to being another round of massive printing this coming summer the loss of Iran’s oil customers needing US Dollars could very well signal the collapse of the entire American economy.

Though the Obama regime has sent its Treasury Secretary, Timothy F. Geithner, to China and Japan today in an effort to persuade them to cut back on Iranian oil this effort appears doomed from start as the Chinese have outright rejected this move and Japan has, likewise, expressed its concerns.

As is always the case in these type of dire matters, reports from the US show its mainstream propaganda media organs are not reporting on this potentially catastrophic turn of events leading to yet another circumstance where the American people will be taken by complete surprise when this cold war suddenly turns hot.

In order to prepare itself for what is to come, however, a vast Russian naval fleet arrived in Syria in an attempt to forestall US-NATO action against its Middle East ally currently under attack by the CIA-backed terrorist group known as al-Qaida.

Most shocking in this report are some Russian economists stating that the Obama regime is actually anticipating the collapse of the US Dollar as a “solution” to their being able to implement drastic socialistic change such as was done during the Great Depression under President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and which the grim statistics being reported from the US show they are, indeed, nearing total economic collapse and include:

1. A staggering 48 percent of all Americans are either considered to be “low income” or are living in poverty.

2. Approximately 57 percent of all children in the United States are living in homes that are either considered to be “low income” or impoverished.

3. If the number of Americans that “wanted jobs” was the same today as it was back in 2007, the “official” unemployment rate put out by the U.S. government would be up to 11 percent.

4. The average amount of time that a worker stays unemployed in the United States is now over 40 weeks.

5. One recent survey found that 77 percent of all U.S. small businesses do not plan to hire any more workers.

6. There are fewer payroll jobs in the United States today than there were back in 2000 even though we have added 30 million extra people to the population since then.

7. Since December 2007, median household income in the United States has declined by a total of 6.8 percent once you account for inflation.

8. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 16.6 million Americans were self-employed back in December 2006. Today, that number has shrunk to 14.5 million.

9. A Gallup poll from earlier this year found that approximately one out of every five Americans that do have a job consider themselves to be underemployed.

10. According to author Paul Osterman, about 20 percent of all U.S. adults are currently working jobs that pay poverty-level wages.

As the buildup for war between the US and Iran continues to escalate, UN Chief Ban ki Moon’s call for the easing of tensions has gone unheeded as the Obama regimes call for the “dogs of war” to be unleashed on the Iranian people shows no sign of abatement.

To what the final outcome may be in all of these events was detailed by Professor Igor Panarin of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs who has long warned the United States is in a state of economic collapse which will see America being divided up into 6 regions due to a “vulnerable political setup,” “lack of unified national laws,” and “divisions among the elite, which have become clear in these crisis conditions.”

Interesting to note about Professor Panarin’s prediction of the United States splintering into different regions are new reports coming from the United States showing that the Obama regime has recently called for the staffing of what are called FEMA Concentration Camps in not just 6, but 10 different regions of their country.

Professor Panarin further warned that “a secret agreement was reached between Canada, Mexico and the US on a common Amero currency as a new monetary unit” and said that “this could signal preparations to replace the dollar.”

When asked how Russia should react to his vision of the future, Professor Panarin said: “Develop the ruble as a regional currency. Create a fully functioning oil exchange, trading in rubles... We must break the strings tying us to the financial Titanic, which in my view will soon sink.”

SPECIAL REPORT - Trangas Makes Slamming Comeback - Targets Papandreou

After enjoying his holiday's our beloved George Trangas is back and he pulled out all the stops on last night's show "Choris Anaisthitiko" by slamming the present government, and especially George Papandreou, and his predecessor Costas Simitis. After speaking about the Greek debt, and explaining why we should proclaim it as odious he also commented on the recent remarks by publisher Stavros Psycharis. The latter is the President of the Lambrakis Publishing Group (DOL) which publishes many Athens newspapers including the long-standing journal "To Vima". 

Slamming Papandreou, Trangas asked what do private jets and corn have to do with one another? What does a lavish apartment in Knightsbridge have to do with all of this? (Knightsbridge is a London  district  that is home to many of the world's richest people, and has some of the highest property prices in the world. In 2006, a four bedroomed apartment in this area sold for over £25,000,000, and according to Wikipedia street car parking spaces sell for £300,000 on a 94 year lease! This area is so exclusive that the principal landowners in the area are the Duke of Westminster and Earl Cadogan!)

So what did Trangas mean?

Just less than a week ago, Papandreou accused Psycharis of undermining the PASOK government because the former prime minister had advised the National Bank of Greece not to lend the DOL publishing group 10 million euros. Psycharis responded by saying that Papandreou’s alleged intervention “betrays a fascist attitude. In fact, it was reported that at last week's meeting at PASOK headquarters it was rumoured that Psycharis "influenced" the resignation of Papandreou, or rather endorses it, so that power could be transferred to Lucas Papademos. 

No one knows what to believe anymore because the DOL publishing company has over the last 30 years fully supported the PASOK party to such a degree that it has actually been accused of propaganda. 

Through "TO VIMA" at the weekend Psycharis made a comeback and sent an obvious message to the Papandreou family and especially to good old George. He said that "of course its a joke" because with "damaged corn you can't cook on private jets , you lose touch with reality." 

So the obvious question would be, what do private planes and corn have to do with one another.

For those who are familiar with recent political history its obvious but for those who are not then we are obligated to explain.

Psycharis was probably referring to Daris (Theodoros) Margellos a Greek-London businessman who was once called "Kalambokanthropos" (or Corn man) because of his involvement with the 1980s scandal of Apostolopoulos and Athanasopoulos and the notorious case of Greek-ization (or forced domestication) of Yugoslav corn to earn EU grants.

Several months ago, and following the accusation from Greek MP Panos Kammenos, who flatly called Papandreou a "broker" and accused him of being involved with Greek CDS, the olympia.gr website published a story claiming that Margelos' company bought a risk premium on Greek CDS bonds. And this is where the story gets better... in a follow-up to this story on olympia, Papandreou was seen in London eating at the lavish Zuma sushi restaurant with none other than Margelos.

Harmless one would say... after all these two were old schoolmates, but let us not forget that Papandreou was trying to convince reporters in Greece that he had no idea what CDS bonds were and he was seen dining with someone who has been accused of buying a risk premium on CDS bonds!

On his part, Margellos had warned Kammenos that he would sue him for slander and categorically stated that the "IJ PARTNERS SA" never made ​​any purchases on Greek CDS bonds, nor did any of his executives and they never advised clients to purchase CDS either. However, we need to point out that this CEO, or Theodore Margellos, has repeatedly and publicly stated many times in the past that he is in favor of immediate abolition of uncovered CDS.

This is what Psycharis meant with his cute metaphor about Papandreou and his family. This also justifies all the accusations made by Panos Kammenos over the past year about the dealings of the Papandreou family, and shuts the mouths of all his skeptics who have often ridiculed him for what they say was unjustly attacking the Papandreou family!

Let it also be known that this is not the first time Psycharis has clashed with the political system, which he himself is also a part of. The same series of events happened with the late Andreas Papandreou, as well as Costas Simitis and then later with Costas Karamanlis. 

But there was a difference with Karamanlis. In a discussion on the eve of elections in 2007, Karamanlis was asked why he couldn't find a formula to work closer with Psycharis, and he answered with a smile "but it is not that he wants his views to be heard... he wants to co-govern... " and added, this I do not do. And we all know for a FACT that none of the newspapers owned by DOL ever supported Karamanlis thereafter in fact they were his worst nightmare.

So its an all-out cat fight some would say, where every one's dirty laundry is being laid on the line. The obvious question would be if Psycharis knew that all the accusations against George Papandreou and Greek CDS were true then why did he keep it a secret all these months?

Was he using this as a tool to get what he wanted from the government? The loans maybe? Or was his involvement deeper than what was mentioned? We will wait and see what happens.
