Tens of privately-held bondholders who suffered great losses as a result of the PSI earlier this year, organized a protest outside of the Bank of Greece at 18:00 Wednesday evening when they found out that the Govener of the Bank of Greece was going to hold a meeting with a delegation from PASOK, headed by Evangelos Venizelos.

When Venizelos arrived, the protesters prevented his delegation from entering the building and when Venizelos' automobile attempted to enter the building from Omirou street, the protesters blocked his entry from there as well.

Police forces quickly arrived on the scene, and luckily calmed down the protesters who by now had encircled Venizelos' car and were in a frenzy state. Thanks to their intervention, Venizelos' automobile was allowed to leave.

Obviously the meeting between Venizelos and Provopoulos never occurred.

The bondholders nonetheless have decided to gather outside the offices of PASOK on Hippocrates Street on Thursday in order to continue with their protest.

Following the incident, PASOK's office issued a statement characterizing the protesters ""indignant bondholders" and noting that they should be instead protesting against the Government and/or the parties who served them campaign promises and never delivered, rather than being against PASOK which is the only party that has repeatedly told them the truth and has only worked to protect their interests. - Protothema

Editor - Oh brother... !!!

Mr. Venizelos must be suffering from Stockholm Syndrome, since he is solely responsible for the PSI which was decided during his run as Finance Minister under the Papademos government.

Good thing he ran quickly....
