Why is Venizelos Going To the US?

PASOK leader Evangelos Venizelos is planning a trip to the US next Thursday. According to press reports, Venizelos is going to visit Washington DC at the invitation of the "shady" Brookings Institute.

Apparently Evangelos The Large will address and event that is going to be held on October 29th titled "The Crisis in the Eurozone, Greece and the Role of the US."

Following his speech, it is expected that he will meet and hold talks with US officials.

And all this before the Eurogroup and the next tranche of the Greek bailout, as well as the "rumors" (mostly from his political camp) that are talking about a government reshuffle.

Coffee at the Institute and maybe lunch at the IMF?
