Today all these countries have recognized the name “Macedonia” in FYROM’s case forgetting their own recent historical actions. Quite a nice pack of hypocrites and EU allies huh?
Aside from all other obvious historical and justifiable arguments on the FYROM issue, Greeks everywhere must not forget that this country has created and promotes a fabricated history (and yes… I truly believe) wants and is conspiring with all the lies it generates to gain access to Macedonia and its port of Thessaloniki.
There was and has never been any Macedonia consciousness, language, church or race. The language spoken by the citizens of this country is a pure Bulgarian dialect. In fact it was 99% Bulgarian until 1945 when Tito (the ruler of this country) changed the language in an attempt to turn into the official language of the southern republic of Yugoslavia.
I can wake up and claim to be Queen Victoria, but am I? Obviously not… so how can this small nation wake up one morning and claim that they are Macedonian? On what grounds, and on what intentions and how can they rightfully clam that we (Greeks) are occupying their lands? Their claims are sheer stupidity.
Nonetheless, citizens from FYROM that live abroad have very strong lobbies and they have literally staged a war against us Greeks that are based on lies. I mean they have placed us in a position to explain our Greekness… and our undisputed history, and all of this because the west is determined to include FYROM in NATO and the EU.
Like I said earlier…. Nice Allies huh?
The West is so single-minded over this that it I am sure it is even supporting FYROM’s decision to take us to the International Court in The Hague on March 21 on charges that we blocked this country from NATO and EU accession in 2008.
In case you are wondering who had the b…lls to object to this, after being “pressed” by the west to do otherwise…. Simple answer: Our former true PATRIOT prime minister, Costas Karamanlis. Remember the video where an Arab through his shoe at Bush? Well… that is exactly what Karamanlis did… he said NO, and obviously… this did not sit well with the Americans who have campaigned against Greece by siding with FYROM for their own interest and purposes. I guess now we know one of the reasons why Karamanlis is not in power anymore right?
In fact the West wants to close the issue very quickly because they fear that the next hot spot in the world (meaning uprising or war) will occur in FYROM between FYROM, Albania and Kosovo nationalists (who also have expansionist aspirations in FYROM).
I don’t know what the outcome from the trial this month will be, we will know in 6-8 months, but what I have come to realise is that many countries actually take pleasure in seeing the Balkan region in continued distress. I don't know if a solution will be found on the name dispute either, because we now have a different prime minister, and we all know that he is more friendlier with the west than his predecessor.
Hellenes everywhere, your support is now needed. You must lobby for the truth. It is time to meet the challenge in an effort that world comes to fully recognize the true history of Macedonia and its culture, and turn away from the fabricated history and culture that FYROM has been promoting. And remember… Macedonia was, is and will always be Greek!
