PM attends Epiphany Celebration in Kavala

Prime Minister Antonis Samaras on Tuesday took part the Epiphany celebration in the northern Greek city of Kavala. Following the ceremony, he wished that Greece continue standing on its feet and offered his wishes for health to all Greeks in light to the celebration.

The blessing of the waters ceremony was held at the city port where swimmers, defying the low temperatures, jumped into the sea to collect the cross. Dimitris Giannikopoulos, 35, an employee at the Manpower Employment Organization (OAED) of Kavala, was the lucky one who collected the Cross.
