The suspect, Arber Bako, entered a bar with a Kalashnikov and then opened fire indiscriminately at patrons. Many people were injured as a result, but luckily they are now out of danger.
Authorities had launched manhunt after identifying the man in CCTV footage.
A report on ProtoThema said that during the time of arrest, forces from EKAM and the counter-terrorism unit of the Hellenic Police, threw a flash grenade into the apartment where he was located in order to disorient his senses and then rushed in and arrested him.
The suspect is currently being held at the Police Directorate of Attica, and another search is underway to locate two other Albanian nationals who were allegedly sheltering him.
