Down Chemical Co. & IBM To Build Service Centers in Greece

Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras received the head of the Down Chemical Company and the general director of IBM’s European operations in order to discuss investment plans.

According to a report by the state owned news agency, the two companies are apparently looking into creating service centers in Greece.

Andrew Liveris, the president of Dow Chemical, said that his company chose to invest in Greece due to the friendly investment environment created by Samaras and his team. And IBM’s European general director Rich Hume noted that his firm’s investments in Greece is going to support the technical capabilities and talent that exists in in the country.

Any type of investment into Greece is welcome, however, we here at HellasFrappe suspect that their sudden interest is linked with the hope of finding cheap labor.
