2 Earthquakes Jolt Northeastern Aegean

Two earthquakes in two separate locations jolted the Aegean on Friday. The first measured 4.4 on the Richter scale and occurred early in the day off the coast of the island of Alonnisos, in northeastern Greece. Specifically, the quake rattled at 15.21 local time (GMT 12.21) at a depth of 5 klm and the vibration was also said to be felt in Athens.

The second quake with a magnitude of 4.3 shook the northern Aegean at 8.10pm. The second quake hit at a depth of 10 klm, south-east of the peninsula of Cassandra, in the northern region of Halkidiki.

In both cases, no injuries and/or damages were reported.
