Russian mafia member caught in Glyfada

Wanted under Interpol's International Red Notice for a murder committed in Russia, a highly dangerous member of the Russian mafia was arrested by authorities in the area of Glyfada earlier this week with the assistance of the Special Counter-Terrorist Unit.

According to reports, the 41-year old man is a member of a criminal organization with international action.

The same reports claim that two more Russian nationals, aged 32 and 44 years, were also arrested and are now facing charges of harboring a criminal, while two 50 year-old expatriates are also wanted for the same offense.

At the time of the arrest, authorities also found and seized: A pistol and two magazines full of cartridges, a fake Russian passport carrying the photo of the 41-year old man under a different name, a knife and two portable radios.
