Funerals Of GD Members Today - Families Do Not Want Politicians Present (VIDEOS)

The parents of Giorgos Fountoulis, the 26-year-old who was gunned down outside Golden Dawn offices in Neo Heraklio last Friday night, warned politicians at the weekend to stay away from their son's funeral service on Monday. The funerals of the two Golden Dawn members are going to be held a little after 15:00 Greek time on Monday.

Fountoulis’s family made it clear that politicians from all political parties would not be welcome at the funeral.
“We do not want blood - our son’s blood ran onto the asphalt - nor honor - we are aware of our child’s honorable and impeachable nature,” the parents said in a statement. “Our family does not want any politician from any party to attend the funeral.”
Fountoulis was murdered along with 22-year-old Manolis Kapelonis, whose funeral will also take place on Monday as well.

The third victim, Alexandros Gerontas remains in critical condition after being shot by the two gunmen who opened fire at a group outside Golden Dawn’s offices in the northern Athens suburb of Neo Heraklio last week.

On Saturday a memorial service was held at the spot where the two young GD members died. Thousands of Greek citizens attended the service and with candles in their hands they began to chant the Greek National Anthem.
