In a recent study Siasos examined the association between chronic coffee consumption and endothelium function in elderly inhabitants of the island of Ikaria, and concluded that chronic coffee consumption is associated with improved endothelial function in elderly subjects.
Siasos explains that the endothelial function, is that 'boiled coffee seems to generate antioxidant substances' that reduce the risk of heart attacks and arterial occlusions.
