Tsochatzopoulos Charges Political Coverup, Trangas Points To Simitis (VIDEOS)

Speaking to reporter Nikos Evangelatos this past week, former Defense Minister under the Simitis government, and top PASOK cadre, Akis Tsochatzopoulos denied all charges against him and blasted the justice system for keeping his wife Vicky Stamatis apart from their child.

Tsochatzopoulos, who has been detained at the Korydallos prison for almost a year now pending trial has accused the New Democracy Conservative and the PASOK Socialist parties of trying to hide their their own responsibilities for corruption in military procurements.

His wife Mrs. Stamatis has also been detained.

In a five-page letter responding to a decision last week to indict him as well as 18 others for accepting kickbacks, bribes, and money laundering, he that in this particular case he is just a scapegoat.
“Unfortunately, neither the justice system, nor PASOK and New Democracy wanted to learn the truth.”
Tsochatzopoulos, who was recently sentenced to an eight-year term for failing to disclose his wealth has made the same accusation a number of times over the past few month along with threatening to reveal alleged widespread corruption in both parties and the government. Analysts highly doubt that he will do so because quite frankly he has never dared before.

Reports say that he is accused of taking as much as one billion Euros ($1.3 billion) from defense contracts. He denies all the charges of course but the evidence against him is mounting!

In a separate report, George Trangas who was also invited this past week to speak on Tsochatzopoulos' case on the Nikos Evangelatos news show raised some pretty good questions. (7.45 into the video)
  • Is there a leadership (KYSEA)?
  • Wasn't there a group behind Tsochatzopoulos?
  • Why is Costas Simitis untouchable?
  • Why are some people in Kolonaki not touched?
  • Why don't they touch Siemens?
  • Why don't they touch Hotchief (manages the airport) when it owes 500 million (in taxes) to the Greek government and they arrest small business owners?

Obviously Trangas left it to be understood that the Simitis clan is behind Tsochatzopoulos, and just as guilty.
