Police Arrest Gang That Assaulted 89-year-old for 150 Euros

Police authorities dismantled a gang of Roma which severely assaulted an 89-year-old elderly man in the northern Athens suburb of Maroussi on January 28 in order to steal a mere 150 Euros and some jewellery. The hits were so severe that the poor man died in an Athens hospital only a few days later.

Police reports claim that this gang would cut the power supply of elderly people's homes and when they emerged to see what was happening they would immediately assault them and then rob them.
