Man Arrested For Flying Glider Over Trikala Prison

A 52-year-old man was apparently arrested in Larisa for flying a motorized glider over the Trikala penitentiary. Officials became suspicious of him when they discovered that he was flying the glider approximately 450 metres over the jail, without having submitted a flight plan with the Civil Air force Service (YPA).

It should be reminded that eleven inmates escaped this prison on March 22.

When he finished playing with his glider, officials notified him to present himself at a local police station in Larissa, and he did voluntarily but he was immediately arrested. He is now going to face a misdemeanours court prosecutor in Trikala, while the Trikala police is also conducting an investigation.
