Greek Food On Display At Annual Foodex Exhibit in Japan

Greeks might love sushi but it looks like the Japanese are gaining an acquired taste for Greek food such as olive oil and chocolate! According to reports, three Greek companies participated at the 38th International Food and Beverages Exhibition Foodex 2013 which was held in early March in Tokyo.

The Greek delegation was not large, and only included the chocolate factory ION (www.ion.gr), the pasta factory EURIMAC (www.eurimac.gr) as well as the olive oil production and trade company Etesian Gold (www.etesiangold.com), but nonetheless the response from the Asian market was positive.

A total of 2,544 exhibitors from 66 countries participated and the number of visitors was estimated at 71,536.
