Christina Martini – designer of "Ancient Greek Sandals" teamed up with Greek-Austrian designer Marios Schwab for the Spring-Summer 2013 collection and produced a unique array of gladiator-type ancient Greek sandals which look like they are going to become the hottest item this season.
The result of this collaboration, is an impressive array of gladiator-type sandals with intricate leather-lacing and buckles, a direct reference to ancient footwear as depicted in archaelogical findings in Greece.
In an interview, Martini said: "This is the result of hard work. Both fashion critics and the public embraced the Ancient Greek Sandal collection, something that led us to work together presenting this new fashion line."The collection is inspired by ancient Greek goddesses, nymphs and muses, as well as by myths, pottery, jewellery and sculpture.
The collection was recently presented during London's Fashion Week.
