Video from Thursday night's fierce riots at the Exarhia area of Athens which was a night dedicated to the memory of 15-year old Alexis Grigoropoulos who died on December 6, 2008 after being shot by a local policeman. As some may remember, this was a night that changed Greece forever and became known as The December Revolt -or the "Dekemvriana". Following the shooting, a wave of riots and attacks against police stations, shops sparked all over Greece that lasted for almost a month, and the center of Athens was destroyed by massive looting. It was also the night that signalled the beginning of the end of the conservative government of Costas Karamanlis.
