PASOK Determined To Outlaw Golden Dawn Party - GD Answers With Smart Video (VIDEOS)

PASOK leader Evangelos Venizelos is determined to outlaw the Golden Dawn party. He says that when Greek society is confronted with an unconstitutional party, then it is up to society to find ways to deal with this phenomenon. He forgets of course that more than half a million people voted for this party, and if he has an ounce of decency as a politician then he should stop dictating his own type of democracy to the world and respect the Greek Constitution which gave this party the right to represent the people that voted for it in the Greek parliament.

Venizelos has even hinted that he is going to take steps to eventually outlaw Golden Dawn, and media reports have even said that he is in close cooperation with an "informal committee" (????) of experts seeking ways to overturn the parliamentary presence of the Golden Dawn.

Aside from the statements made on Monday from Golden Dawn party spokesman Elias Kassidiaris against Venizelos' statements and the PASOK party, the Golden Dawn party on Tuesday released another bold statement, this time through a video, which more or less really slams Venizelos and his dictator style philosophies.

The video shows characteristic moments of the history of PASOK. From the "thank you" of former PASOK leader Costas Simitis to the Americans during the Imia crisis, up until Theodore Pangalos' infamous we "ate (the money) all together" rhetoric. Of course... it also includes George Papandreou's famous line "Money Exits".

We here at HellasFrappe will repeat what we have said a number of times. We do not politically support the Golden Dawn party, but we do not like that they are not confronted equally  as other parties are in the Greek parliament. The SYRIZA party, which is the exact type of party as Golden Dawn -but of a Leftist nature- is confronted with respect, whereas anything that tips to the Right is considered extreme, and Nazi... This is rubbish. Over half a million people voted for this party and they are certainly not extremists, fascists, racists or believe in the Third  Reich as Mr. Venizelos stated. They are common everyday people who have every right to be represented in the Greek Parliament with the party they chose.

Instead of attacking the Golden Dawn party, the political system of Greece should look at ways of winning over voters with actual social-friendly policies... and not simple "unofficial committees" -such as those mentioned above by Mr. -dictatorship rhetoric- Venizelos. If PASOK has a shred of decency, then it must first recognize its own mistakes and its own lawlessness, correct it, begin listening to the people, and then point the finger at its opponents. The only thing it is achieving now is making a complete fool out of itself and exposing how undemocratic it actually is.
