SHOCK. Amnesty International is apparently calling on Greek authorities to protect freedom of expression by binning the blasphemy charges brought against everyone involved in Terrence McNally’s play, Corpus Christi (or the play the portrays the Christ as a gay man). The play was cancelled several weeks ago following protests by Christians, and right-wing groups, including deputies from the Golden Dawn party.

Reports on Monday morning said that the lawsuit is understood to have been instigated by the Greek Orthodox Bishop, Seraphim of Piraeus who claims that the play contains blasphemous messages, interpreted to include insinuations of homosexuality for figures revered by Christians.

We here at HellasFrappe are really curious as to why this bothers, or offends Amnesty International. How is it that a hate film about Mohamed is offensive to all these "humanitarian" NGO's, but a play portraying the Christ and his disciples as being gay is not?

Why is it that when anyone says anything that goes against the global new world agenda, they are suddenly termed racists, dangerous, fascists?

Organizations that claim to advocate for human rights should RESPECT the majority... and not a small minority of wannabe artists. Freedom of expression is not about ridiculing, satirizing or even interpreting people's faiths, it is immoral  By slamming Greece, Amnesty International is not advocating for freedom of expression, but rather imposing its own beliefs.

As for  Seraphim of Piraeus: We know there are many NGOs that do not like this man... because quite simply he does not advocate for globalization, and he is certainly not a NWO puppet. We are actually quite fond of him in Greece, and proud that he speaks his mind and tells it like it is.
