40 Officials Resign From The Bank of Greece

Around 40 prominent officials resigned from their posts at the Bank of Greece so that they can escape upcoming wage cuts, according to a report from capital.gr and protothema. The report said that the new regulations foresee a cap on the wages of managers and top officials of the banking sector and of state-run enterprises (DEKO), determining the highest monthly wage at 2.900 euro per month net or 5,000 euro per month gross.

But the "Golden Boys" or crappy banksters are used to gaining more money and would not accept the cuts because they consider such as 2.900 (net) euros a month penniless. They forget, however, that most wages in Greece at the moment, and after two waves of cuts and a third on the way, has left average citizens with a salary that ranges between 750-1,100 Euros (while the minimum wage for a university graduate is about 500-580 euro per month gross).

Guess the citizens of Greece -or private sector middle class workers- are not their concern.  This is just one more story that definitely makes ones blood boil. Half of the Greek population is on the brink of a meltdown, one third is waiting on soup kitchen lines for a plate of food, thousands are on the streets homeless, hundreds of thousands are operating their homes without electricity because they can't afford it and millions are terrified about the winter ahead because the cost of fuel has skyrocketed and our "Golden Boy" bankers refuse to accept a simple wage cut like we all did...

Goodbye and Good Riddance!
